A produção de biodiesel no Mato Grosso desenvolveu-se rapidamente a partir da implantação do Programa Nacional de Produção e Uso do Biodiesel (PNPB) e, com ela, a demanda por matéria-prima de origem da agricultura familiar. Objetivou-se, com este estudo, verificar se as políticas de inclusão social do PNPB estão sendo efetivas no norte mato-grossense. A partir da coleta de informações com produtores rurais familiares distribuídos por quatro municípios do norte mato-grossense que fornecem matéria-prima para a produção de biodiesel, foi possível identificar que existe um predomínio do cultivo de soja para atender aos requisitos do Programa, e mesmo com as limitações existentes para a soja na agricultura familiar, os produtores são capazes de desempenhar essa atividade dadas as suas condições de capital. Por meio da Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA), também foi possível comparar a eficiência dos produtores, identificando que grande parte deles possui uma boa eficiência em relação à renda e à produção. Esta publicação faz parte de um estudo maior (Tese). Nela analisou-se a intenção de pagamento do crédito no contexto da avaliação do Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (Pronaf) na Paraíba. A pesquisa foi executada com base na opinião dos beneficiários do Grupo A (Assentados) e B (Agricultores familiares) em duas etapas: (a) preliminar, para o levantamento de crenças e informações e (b) principal, para a medição dessas crenças. Para avaliar a intenção de pagamento, foi empregado o modelo Teórico da Ação Planejada de Ajzen (1991). Com base nesse modelo, a Atitude, a Crença normativa (componente da norma subjetiva) e a Norma Subjetiva foram, para o Grupo A, as variáveis preditoras que explicaram a Intenção de pagamento de crédito. Para o Grupo B, as dimensões Atitude, Crença comportamental (componente da atitude), Crença normativa (componente da norma subjetiva) e a crença de controle (componente da percepção de controle) influenciaram a Intenção do pagamento de crédito. A Percepção de controle não influenciou diretamente a Intenção comportamental, mas indiretamente essa variável é preditora do Comportamento-alvo.This publication is part of a major study (Thesis). In that thesis it was analyzed the intention of Pronaf's beneficiaries to repay the credit they have received. The Pronaf is a line of credit for small farmers implemented by the Brazilian Federal Government in 1996. Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior (1991) was used to evaluate the beneficiaries' intention in paying what they owned. In order to accomplish this evaluation, two studies were conducted. The first one (Preliminary Study) focused on the small farmer's beliefs about the program operation. The second (Main Study) focused on the measurement of these beliefs. Two beneficiary groups participated of the studies: Group A (agrarian reform settlers) and Group B (small farmers). According to Ajzen's model, for the participants of the Group A, the Attitude, the Normative belief (subjective norm component) and the Subjective Norm were positive significant predictors of the Intention to repay the credit. For the Group B, the Attitude, Behavioral belief (attitude component), Normative belief (subjective norm component) and Control belief (perceived behavioral control component) were positive significant predictors of the Intention to repay the credit. The Perceived behavioral control did not influence directly the behavioral Intention, but this variable indirectly predicts the target behavior.

La agricultura mexicana es un sector estratégico para el desarrollo nacional. El maíz desempeña un papel importante en la industria, ya que se procesa derivando una gran cantidad de productos y subproductos. En la actualidad hay campesinos que siembran en terrenos irregulares como cerros o terrenos de superficie inclinada; este tipo de siembra la mayoría de las veces es agricultura de subsistencia, pero no por eso menos importante que la comercial. La siembra en este tipo de terrenos se realiza por medio de herramientas rústicas debido al difícil acceso de maquinaria moderna y los pocos recursos económicos para conseguirla; este tipo de herramienta representa un gran esfuerzo físico y jornadas muy largas de trabajo para el campesino. En el presente proyecto se propone una máquina para sembrar maíz, la cual evitaría los problemas anteriormente expuestos, además de realizar la actividad en menor tiempo y de manera económica, rentable y segura.Mexican agriculture is a strategic sector for national development. Corn has an important role in the industry due to the fact that it is processed into a great variety of products and by-products. There are some agricultural workers that sow in irregular grounds such as hills and sloping surfaces. This kind of sowing is often for their own consumption, but it is not less important than the industrial counterpart. Sowing in this type of grounds is done with rustic tools owing to lack of access to modern equipment, due to its cost and other reasons. The use of rustic tools is hard work and time-consuming for the workers. In this project, a proposal to make this job easier on sloping grounds is presented. This proposal consists of a machine that reduces the physical exertion and time required of the workers, by increasing the sowing speed, making the operation less expensive, safer and more efficient.

Objetivou-se estudar o efeito da aplicação de bioestimulante nas sementes e em diferentes épocas do desenvolvimento da soja sobre o teor de proteína bruta e solúvel dos grãos. O experimento foi conduzido em um Latossolo Vermelho Distrófico típico, com semeadura em novembro de 2006 no município de Selvíria, MS. Para a determinação do teor de proteína foi utilizado o delineamento inteiramente casualizado com quatro repetições e quinze tratamentos: T1 – testemunha, T2 – aplicação de bioestimulante nas sementes (S), T3 – aplicação do produto no estágio V5 (V5), T4 – aplicação de bioestimulante em R1 (R1), T5 – aplicação de bioestimulante em R5, T6 – S+V5, T7 – S+R1, T8 – S+R5, T9 – V5+R1, T10 – V5+R5, T11 – R1+R5, T12 – S+V5+R1, T13 – S+V5+R5, T14 – S+R1+R5, T15 – S+V5+R1+R5. Apenas os dados obtidos para teor de proteína solúvel e rendimento de proteína solúvel variaram estatisticamente em função dos tratamentos.

Los sistemas de producción orgánico y/o ecológico tienen como objetivo garantizar la sostenibilidad y la renovación de base natural, mediante la limitación del uso de productos de síntesis química para favorecer el ambiente y la salud humana. Teniendo en cuenta estas características, se estudió el efecto de los sistemas de producción orgánico y convencional sobre el contenido de nutrientes minerales del fruto del plátano Hartón (Musa AAB Simmonds), durante el proceso de maduración. Las determinaciones se realizaron en la Universidad de Córdoba (Montería, Colombia) con el fin de establecer las diferencias en el contenido de minerales en los frutos en ambos sistemas y en diferentes estados de maduración. Se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar con arreglo factorial 2 x 5 y cinco repeticiones. Los factores fueron: sistema de producción y estado de maduración; los cinco niveles del segundo factor correspondieron a los grados de maduración: verde-oscuro (V), verde-claro (VC), amarillo-verde (AV), amarillo (A) y muy amarillo (MA). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que entre ambos sistemas de producción y en distintos grados de maduración, se presentan diferencias significativas (P < 0.05) en los contenidos de calcio, magnesio, potasio, sodio, hierro y zinc.

In the property transmission in the family agriculture the division and the compensation forms are distinct between sons and daughters. In the majority of the cases, the sons earn the paternal establishment. This way, the fathers compensate the daughters in different ways. The goal of this article is to analyze the transmission of the property in the family agriculture with a focus on the daughter’s compensation form. Answering the proposed issue, family farmers from Pinhal Grande and Dona Francisca municipalities were interviewed, both located at the central region of Rio Grande do Sul. The results confirm that the daughters are not excluded from the family establishment earning just in the cases when they are the only child. In the other cases, the establishments tend to remain with one of the sons - male successor -, while the daughters receive other compensations: studies payment, urban real state, trousseau and money. In many situations, the daughters earn more than one compensation form.

Neste artigo analisa-se o processo de usufruto das prerrogativas dispostas no Programa Nacional da Alimentação Escolar- PNAE pelos agricultores familiares fornecedores de produtos ao Programa. A discussão apresentada foi feita a partir de revisão da literatura sobre a participação da Agricultura Familiar no PNAE e de pesquisa de campo realizada em 2013 e 2014 sobre as experiências de acesso dos agricultores na política de fornecimento de produtos para a alimentação escolar nos municípios de Brasil Novo, estado do Pará, e Cachoeira do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. O estudo mostra que o fornecimento de produtos da agricultura familiar para a alimentação escolar não expressa necessariamente a apropriação do direito à venda pelos agricultores fornecedores. A participação dos agricultores familiares no PNAE não pode ser considerada apenas no contexto da geração de renda, uma vez que a aquisição de produtos não está relacionada apenas ao mercado. Nesse sentido, o reconhecimento social dos mesmos como produtores de alimentos, a apropriação do direito conquistado e as mudanças nas estruturas de oportunidades também são elementos importantes. Constatou que, apesar de incongruências que por ventura aparecem no processo de compra e venda de produtos da Agricultura Familiar através dos programas governamentais, está ocorrendo modificações na organização sociopolítica e produtiva dos atores. Conclui-se que a implementação das prerrogativas do PNAE, a partir da Lei 11.947/2009, ampliou as oportunidades sociais dos agricultores familiares, propiciando e fomentando novas possibilidades comerciais, novos modos de fazer agricultura, de organização social e a conquista de nova forma de cidadania.

In Paraíba, Brazil, a local market for family farming is the production of naturally colored cotton grown in agroecological regime. For solution of physicochemical and biological soil degradation of brazilian semiarid, where Caatinga biome predominates, one valuable agroecological practice is the organic adubation. Accordingly, it was aimed with the present work to study the influence of bovine manure doses (D0 - 0.0; D1 - 2.5; D2 - 5.0; D3 - 10.0; D4 - D5 and 20.0 - 40.0 Mg ha-1) on agronomic and fiber characteristics of the agroecological herbaceous cotton BRS Rubi crop in the arid region of that State, in the years 2008/2009 and 2009, and to define the best dose of this organic fertilizer for this system and this growing region. The treatments were arranged in a randomized block design, with four replications. It was performed combined analysisof variance of the experiments, being evaluated agronomic (stem diameter, plant height, yeild and boll weight) and fiber(percentage, length, strength, micronaire index, fiber short index, elongation and maturity of fibers) variables in the two yearsof cultivation. It was concluded that: there was influence of the bovine manure doses tested for the agronomic characteristicsbut not for the characteristics of the fibers of the herbaceous cotton colored BRS Rubi; the best dose was 18 Mg ha-1of bovinemanure (Maximum Economic Dose). = Na Paraíba, um nicho de mercado para a agricultura familiar é a produção de algodão naturalmente colorido ecultivado agroecologicamente. Para solução da degradação físico-química e biológica dos solos do semiárido brasileiro, onde o bioma caatinga predomina, uma prática agroecológica valiosa é a adubação orgânica. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho estudar a influência de doses de esterco bovino (D0 - 0; D1 - 2,5; D2 - 5; D3 - 10; D4 - 20 e D5 - 40 Mg ha-1) sobre características agronômicas e da fibra do algodoeiro herbáceo colorido BRS Rubi, sob cultivo agroecológico no Sertão Paraibano, durante dois anos agrícolas (2008/2009 e 2009), e definir a melhor dose deste fertilizante orgânico para este sistema e região de cultivo. Os tratamentos foram dispostos em um delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições. Foi realizada análise conjunta dos ensaios, sendo avaliadas variáveis agronômicas (diâmetro caulinar, altura daplanta, produtividade e peso dos capulhos) e das fibras (percentagem, comprimento, índice de fibras curtas, resistência, finura,alongamento e maturidade das fibras) nos dois anos de cultivo. Concluiu-se que houve influência das doses de esterco bovinotestadas sobre as características agronômicas, mas não sobre as características das fibras do algodão herbáceo colorido BRSRubi; a melhor dose foi de18 Mg ha-1 de esterco bovino (Dose Máxima Econômica).

Objective. The rural diversification is a way for family farmers to prosper or even to perish. However, deciding a new rural activity can become hard work. The objective of this work is creating an Information System that helps the farmer in decision making, through financial indicators. Method. A questionnaire was applied to 20 family farmers of Oeste Paranaense with a quantitative approach, and a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out to verify Information Systems available. Subsequently, a software project was developed using UML elements and the ASP.NET Core MVC 1.1 development framework with PostgreSQL 9.5 database. The IDE used for development was the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition. The tests were performed in a Linux environment with Ubuntu 14.04, Apache 2, and Chrome 55 browser. Results. The implementation of the software project resulted in the nominated application of Rural Financial Planning (Plafir). Plafir is a web application that assists in decision making when the farmer decides to invest in a new rural activity. Based on financial models pre-registered in the system by agricultural technicians, and a table of inputs with updated prices, the farmer can select a particular model, simulate the production, and check the financial results. Conclusions. Family farming is lacking Information Systems for decision making, and the application Plafir meets the objective proposed in this study, contributing to the decision making of a new rural activity.

This study took place in 17 rural properties that produce colonial cheese in three towns of the Cantuquiriguaçu region (Paraná state, Brazil). A questionnaire was applied, in order to collect data on the milk and colonial cheese production, so that data could be analyzed according to the Normative Instruction nº 30/2013 from MAPA (Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply). The results indicated that the visited farms did not have a certificate attesting them as free from brucellosis and tuberculosis (100%), nor even a program for mastitis control, nor good practices on milking and handling of cheese, not to mention poor control of water quality, poor pest control and minimum cheese ripening. Thus, according to the criteria from the Normative Instruction nº 30 / 2013, those farms were considered unsuitable for the production. It is worth noting, however, that one of the towns has already taken measures that partially met requirements of the legislation, indicating that the adoption of public policies and more technical support might assist producers to become apt for the adequate production of cheese from raw milk.
