Structure activity relationships (SARs) were established using three, eleven and twelve variations respectively at the P1, P2 and P3 positions. A Ki value of 16 nM was observed for the most potent of these inhibitors which reflects a degree of non-additivity in the SAR. An X-ray crystal structure was determined for the ligand-protein complex for the structural prototype for the series. Twenty three inhibitors were also evaluated for their anti-trypanosomal effects and an EC50 value of 28 μM was observed for the most potent of these. Although there remains scope for further optimization, the knowledge gained from this study is also transferable to the design of cruzain inhibitors based on warheads other than nitrile as well as alternative scaffolds. La materialización efectiva del DHAS se relaciona discursivamente con la titularidad pública o privada de los operadores de los servicios urbanos de agua, lo que ha contribuido a la reactivación de los debates sobre la necesidad de conservar o recuperar el carácter público de estos servicios, y sobre la necesidad de generar marcos jurídicos que garanticen políticas de democracia local efectiva. A esta dimensión sociopolítica, se añade otra característica: el movimiento del DHAS en España sintoniza en discurso y articulación organizativa con las perspectivas socio-eco-integradoras de la gestión del agua como recurso natural, de los ecosistemas acuáticos. Ésta es una cualidad importante y en cierta manera distintiva de la experiencia española, que contrasta con los desencuentros y conflictos que frecuentemente caracterizan a las perspectivas social y ambiental en los movimientos de defensa del agua, y en general de los recursos naturales. Complementariamente a lo anterior, este artículo presenta un nuevo enfoque de la tipología de pobrezas hídricas. La reciente recepción del DHAS en los países europeos se ha focalizado especialmente en la asequibilidad (prohibición de cortes, garantía del mínimo vital, tarifas sociales) y en las implicaciones para la gobernanza (transparencia, rendición de cuentas) y el modelo de gestión (publico versus privado). No obstante, a lo largo de la investigación que se presenta, se ha constatado que la accesibilidad sigue siendo un problema significativo en ciertas regiones europeas, relacionado especialmente con la existencia de asentamientos marginales, chabolismo, personas sin hogar o trabajadores temporeros inmigrantes en áreas rurales. Finalmente, este artículo aborda la cuestión de la regulación legal del derecho humano al agua en España, analizando las claves de este proceso y presentando las últimas propuestas del movimiento del DHAS en el que sus autores conceptualmente se sitúan. Assim, este estudo avaliou, inicialmente em condições de laboratório, a atividade ovicida e larvicida de extratos aquosos de sete espécies vegetais e de um bioinseticida à base de limonoides (DalNeem®) diante dessa praga. Além disso, também foi avaliada a ação antialimentar dos tratamentos em testes com e sem chance de escolha. DalNeem® e extratos aquosos de pó de fumo (Nicotiana tabacum), de eucalipto (Eucalyptus tereticornis) e de timbó (Ateleia glazioveana) reduziram a viabilidade de ovos, sendo o extrato de pó de fumo o tratamento com maior atividade ovicida. Por sua vez, o extrato de pó de fumo e DalNeem® apresentaram a maior ação larvicida via ingestão. Todos os derivados botânicos testados causaram efeito antialimentar para o curuquerê-da-couve. Em teste no campo, o extrato aquoso de pó de fumo apresentou eficácia similar a um inseticida sintético à base de deltametrina (Decis® 25CE). Understanding the anti-viral immune responses in these individuals may help in vaccine design. However, immune responses against HIV-1 are normally analyzed using HIV-1 consensus B 15-mers that overlap by 11 amino acids. Unfortunately, this method may underestimate the real breadth of the cellular immune responses against the autologous sequence of the infecting virus.Here we compared cellular immune responses against nef and vif-encoded consensus B 15-mer peptides to responses against HLA class I-predicted minimal optimal epitopes from consensus B and autologous sequences in six patients who have controlled HIV-1 replication. Interestingly, our analysis revealed that three of our patients had broader cellular immune responses against HLA class I-predicted minimal optimal epitopes from either autologous viruses or from the HIV-1 consensus B sequence, when compared to responses against the 15-mer HIV-1 type B consensus peptides.This suggests that the cellular immune responses against HIV-1 in controller patients may be broader than we had previously anticipated. No Brasil, o interesse do produtor por esta cultura vem crescendo a cada ano, pois além do destacado teor de óleo nos aquênios, a planta pode ser utilizada para alimentação animal na forma de silagem. Outro fator que merece destaque é que o Governo Federal em parceria com o Governo do Estado, a Petrobras S.A. e as prefeituras dos municípios envolvidos vem incentivando o plantio da oleaginosa através da agricultura familiar gerando renda aos pequenos agricultores e desenvolvimento para a região. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o crescimento do girassol (Helianthus annuus L.) híbrido 'Helio 358' em diferentes níveis de fósforo e boro no solo, cultivado em sistema convencional no município de Cruz das Almas, Bahia. O experimento foi conduzido no Campus da Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia, em Latossolo Amarelo coeso, no período de Julho a Novembro de 2008. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em esquema fatorial 5x2, sendo cinco doses de fósforo (0; 40; 80; 120 e 200 kg ha-1 de P) e duas de boro (0 e 2 kg ha-1 de B), com os tratamentos distribuídos em blocos casualizados, com três repetições e amostragens na parcela a cada quinze dias. Em cada coleta avaliou-se o rendimento de matéria seca total da parte aérea, a área foliar, a altura das plantas e o diâmetro das hastes. Através da variação da matéria seca e da área foliar obteve-se a taxa de crescimento da cultura, a taxa de crescimento relativo e taxa assimilatória líquida. Verificou-se que não houve efeito significativo da interação entre fósforo e boro nas variáveis em estudo, contudo houve significância para a aplicação isolada de fósforo no crescimento do girassol. A aplicação de fósforo acelerou o desenvolvimento do girassol e o florescimento, antecipando a colheita e a obtenção do índice de área foliar ótimo. From the framework of the ecology of the media, it argues that the notions of inter face and plat form constitute propitious tools to understand this type of contemporary phenomena. The text is organized as follows: first, the object of study is placed under the theory of non-neutrality of the code, with references to its origin and actuality. Secondly, we seek to answer what the appearance of Netflix entails in the history of audiovisual mediatization, with the aim of replenishing the media context and giving account of the multiple links it maintains with its historical antecedents (in particular with regard to genres and styles). Thirdly, an empirical and synchronic analysis of various inter faces of the plat form is deployed: starting from the comparison in different technical devices, it will be argued that there is not a single Netflix interface, but that it varies according to soft ware and hardware constraints.
