However, in some patients, lung infection leads to the activation of alveolar macrophages and lung epithelial cells that will release proinflammatory cytokines. IL-6, TNF, and IL-1β increase expression of cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) and VEGF, thereby increasing permeability of the lung endothelium and reducing barrier protection, allowing viral dissemination and infiltration of neutrophils and inflammatory monocytes. Si bien las áreas de distribución de las aves suelen ser bien conocidas, la falta de información para algunas especies, el cambio climático y los cambios de uso de suelo, entre otros factores resultan en la variación de su distribución conocida y en su consecuente detección en localidades donde antes no se habían registrado. El chipe azulnegro (Setophaga caerulescens) es una especie de parúlido que se encuentra en México principalmente como transitoria durante la temporada migratoria, de forma particular en la vertiente del Golfo de México y en la costa este de la Península de Yucatán. Asimismo, se le ha registrado aisladamente en Oaxaca, Nuevo León, Sonora, Baja California y Baja California Sur. En noviembre de 2012, registramos una hembra de S. caerulescens en un paisaje perturbado en el estado de Tabasco. Este avistamiento representa el primer registro para la especie en la entidad. La temporalidad del registro es interesante puesto que era de esperarse que, para la fecha en que fue realizado el registro, la especie se encuentre en su área de residencia invernal en las Antillas. Nuestra observación también reafirma que S. caerulescens es más versátil con respecto a los hábitats que utiliza durante su migración invernal al ocupar sitios perturbados, posiblemente porque es más tolerante a los disturbios antropogénicos durante estas temporadas. Es necesario ampliar el conocimiento en relación a la distribución y el uso de hábitat de la especie en México.
