Little is known about its exact impact on medical care workers and related factors in China. This study aims to identify the psychological impact of COVID-19 on medical care workers in China. Methods From February 23 to March 5, 2020, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 863 medical care workers from seven provinces in China using standard questionnaires measuring adverse psychological outcomes including Impact of Event Scale-6 (IES-6), Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale(DASS)and related psychosocial factors like perceived threat, social support and coping strategies. Exploratory Factor analysis was performed to identify the dimensions of perceived threat by study participants. Multivariate regression was used to examine the determinants of adverse psychological outcomes. Results Posttraumatic stress (PTS) were prevalent in this sample of health care professionals, and 40.2% indicated positive screens for significant posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms. The proportion of having mild to extremely severe symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress were 13.6, 13.9 and 8.6%, respectively. Perceived threat and passive coping strategies were positively correlated to PTS and DASS scores, while perceived social support and active coping strategies were negatively correlated to DASS scores. Nurses were more likely to be anxious than others among medical care workers during the COVID-19 epidemic. Conclusions Adverse psychological symptoms were prevalent among medical care workers in China during the COVID-19 epidemic. Screening for adverse psychological outcomes and developing corresponding preventive measures would be beneficial in decreasing negative psychological outcomes. Se evaluaron dos tratamientos de desinfección in vitro con variaciones en la concentración del Ca(ClO)2 2,5% y 5,0% (i.a 75%), tres tratamientos para la multiplicación in vitro del material con diferentes reguladores de crecimiento y concentración de sales MS (1962), y seis tratamientos para el enraizamiento in vitro con diversos reguladores de crecimiento y gelificantes.  Se determinó que la desinfección con 2,5% de Ca(ClO)2 fue la mejor para el establecimiento in vitro; el mejor medio de cultivo para la micropropagación del material fue el M1, compuesto por sales MS(1962) al 100%, sacarosa al 3%, phytagel® 1,8g/L, 0,5mg/L de AG3, 0,25mg/L de BAP y 2,0 mg/L de PaCa, el cual presentó el mejor balance entre el número promedio de brotación/explante y el número promedio de entrenudos/explante, sin formación excesiva de callo, mientras que el medio de cultivo E5, constituido por sales MS(1962) al 100%, agar 6,0g/L y sacarosa al 3%, sin reguladores del crecimiento y el medio de cultivo E6, que incluía las sales MS(1962) al 100%, agar 8,0g/L y sacarosa al 3%, sin reguladores del crecimiento, mostraron el periodo más corto para la formación de raíces, el mayor número promedio de raíces y la mayor longitud promedio de raíz y tallo. Description An account of the resource As healthcare turns its focus to preventative community-based interventions, there is increasing interest in using in-home technology to support this goal. This study evaluates the design and use of socially assistive robots (SARs) and sensors as in-home therapeutic support for older adults with depression. The seal-like SAR Paro, along with onboard and wearable sensors, was placed in the homes of 10 older adults diagnosed with clinical depression for one month. Design workshops were conducted before and after the in-home implementation with participating older adults and clinical care staff members. Workshops showed older adults and clinicians sawseveral potential uses for robots and sensors to support in-home depression care. Long-term in-home use of the robot allowed researchers and participants to situate desired robot features in specific practices and experiences of daily life, and some user requests for functionality changed due to extended use. Sensor data showed that participants’ attitudes toward and intention to use the robot were strongly correlated with particular Circadian patterns (afternoon and evening) of robot use. Sensor data also showed that those without pets interacted with Paro significantly more than those with pets, and survey data showed they had more positive attitudes toward the SAR. Companionship, while a desired capability, emerged as insufficient to engage many older adults in long-term use of SARs in their home. Orlando, Aguirre C. Jaime Description An account of the resource In the river basin of the Tota lake (Boyacá) there are two differents zones related to the geomorphology, soil and climate. In the noreast zone the ecological conditions allow that the vegetation shows a greater cover; in the norwest zone on the other hand these conditions are very drastic, the floristic composition of vegetation is poor and generally speaking the landscape is of 'arid type'.  The distribution of vegetation in the river basin is caused by topographic variations (altitude, reIief) and by differences of climate (temperature and solar radiation). Around the lake, the soil-content of water and nutrients, the physiography and the wind-action in some cases determine of the arrangement of plants-associations. These units of vegetation (associations) are described following the Zurich-Montpellier school and the rules and recomendations of the Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature (BARKMAN et at.. 1976).  Among these units are the: forest of Alnus acuminata subsp.  acuminata which grow on moist and marsh places around the lake and the sparse scrub with Hypericum ruscoides and Plantago monticola ond dry places.  In the 'Páramo-región', the dense scrub with Brachyotum striqosum and Celamaqrostis effusa and the stemrosette communities with Espeletia lopezii were studied.  The 'life-form' spectrum (RAUNKIAER, en BRAUN-BLANQUET, 1979) and the leaf characters (size, consistency, indumentation ) for each association also are provided. En la geomorfología y en el clima de la cuenca del lago de Tota, se diferencian dos regiones: nor-oriental y nor-occidental. En la primera las condiciones ecológicas son favorables y permiten una mayor cobertura y diversidad de la vegetación; la región nor-occidental por el contrario, esta sujeta a condiciones ecológicas drásticas, muestra una vegetación muy pobre y en general el paisaje es de tipo 'árido'.  La preliminar caracterización de los suelos, indica que en su mayoría, estos son bastante pobres en nutrientes, muy desaturados, con pH ácidos y están sometidos a continuos lavados. La distribución de la vegetación en la cuenca, obedece esencialmente a variaciones topográficas (altitud, relieve) y a cambios climáticos asociados, como la temperatura y la radiación solar. En los alrededores de la masa de agua, entre 3.000 y 3.150 m, las fluctuaciones en el contenido de agua en el suelo, la calidad del sustrato en cuanto a nutrientes, la fisiografía y la acción del viento en casos muy particulares son los factores responsables de la disposición de las unidades de vegetación que se inventariaron.  Estas unidades se estudiaron según las recomendaciones metodológicas de BRAUN-BLANQUET (1979) y comprenden desde el Viburno-Alnetum acuminatae o  bosques marginales sobre sitios con buen contenido de agua en el suelo, a continuación de la vegetación de ribera o Polygono-Scirpion californici RANGEL &: AGUIRRE 1983, con dominio de Alnus acuminata subsp. acuminata, hasta el Plantaqini-Hypericetum Ruscoidis o matorrales ralos, sobre sitios pedregosos y muy secos.  En la región paramuna, se inventariaron matorrales del Brachyoto-Calamaqrotietum effusae y 'frailejonales' con Espeletia  lopezii. Las unidades de vegetación se describieron de acuerdo con el Código Internacional de Nomenclatura Fitosociológica (BARKMAN et al., 1976). Se realizaron también los análisis de las formas de vida (RAUNKIAER) en BRAUN-BLANQUET 1979) y de las características foliares, las cuales permitieron diferenciar tendencias en los fitoclimas y en la textura de la vegetación en cada asociación reseñada. Gustavo Description An account of the resource This contribution presents the plant-communities characterized in the trayect between La Plata (Huila) and the crater of the Puracé volcano. The methodology followed in this study is that proposed in the Zurich-Montpellier school (BRAUN-BLANQUET, 1979). The profile of vegetation includs plant-communities of the jungle-type which are pluri-stratified on Ecuatorial and sub-Andean life zones and plantcommunities with a single stratification (upper Paramo belt). In the characterization of the plant-communities described was taken of the physiognomy (the structure as an expression of abiotic conditions).  Dates about plant-density in the arboreal stratum and preliminary characteristics of the soil in some of the places inventaried also are provided.En esta contribución se caracterizan las comunidades vegetales que se establecen en el trayecto entre La Plata (Huila) y el cráter del volcán Puracé.  La metodología que se siguió es la de la escuela Zurich-Montpellier (BRAUN-BLANQUET, 1979). El perfil de vegetación incluye comunidades de tipo selvático pluriestratificadas, en las regiones de vida Ecuatorial y sub-Andina y comunidades uniestratificadas en la franja del super-páramo. Se colocó especial énfasis en el aspecto estructural (fisionomía) de la vegetación y con base en los resultados obtenidos se recomiendan límites para la distribución de los estratos o arreglo en sentido vertical dentro de una fitocenosis determinada. Se suministran también datos sobre la densidad en los estratos altos y sobre las características preliminares de los suelos en algunos de los sitios muestreados. Pilar Description An account of the resource The plant communities present along an altitudinal transect between 3.000-3.600 m above sea level around Chingaza lake, Cundinamarca, Colombia, are described following the Zurich-Montpellier System. The zonal plant communities (WALTER. 1964) belong to the life zones refered to as 'Paramo' and 'Andean' by CUATRECASAS (1934, 1958) and RANGEL et al., (1982).  The azonal plant communities (marsh communities) are briefly studied.  New information about synecological aspects and geographic distribution is provided together with a provisional sintaxonomic classification of the vegetation of the area. Mediante la utilización de los lineamientos metodológicos de la Escuela, Zurich-Montpellier, se tipifican y describen las comunidades vegetales de los alrededores de la Laguna de Chingaza (Cundinamarca) entre 3.000 y 3.600 m.  Las comunidades zonales (WALTER, 1964) se pueden ubicar según los esquemas propuestos por CUATRECASAS (1934, 1958)  y por RANGEL et al., (1982) en las zonas de vida Paramuna y Andina (franja alto-andina); la vegetación azonal (de pantano) también se reseña.  Igualmente se presenta información adicional que incluye aspectos sinecológicos y corológicos y se propone un arreglo sintaxonómico provisional de la vegetación estudiada.
