Para isto foram coletadas amostras da parte radicular de Brachiaria decumbens, B. brizantha e Panicum maximum em 18 propriedades rurais com atividade pecuária na região oeste paulista, SP. Durante a condução do trabalho foram efetivadas análises de fertilidade do solo nas áreas amostradas. A quantificação de Bacillus spp. na rizosfera das plantas foi efetivada com o emprego da técnica do choque térmico e diluição seriada, finalizando-se com plaqueamento em meio de cultura. A colonização de Bacillus na rizosfera de plantas forrageiras apresentou-se com baixos valores e não houve correlação da colonização da rizosfera com a maioria dos parâmetros de fertilidade do solo. Apenas a matéria orgânica no solo se correlacionou de forma negativa com a colonização bacteriana na rizosfera. Não houve diferença significativa na colonização de Bacillus encontrada na rizosfera das três espécies de plantas forrageiras avaliadas. Em seguida, as sementes foram submetidas a três tempos de pré-embebição diferentes: 4, 7 e 10 horas. Após os tratamentos, as sementes foram distribuídas em papel de germinação e mantidas em germinador, à temperatura de 25ºC com fotoperíodo de 12 horas. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, no esquema fatorial 3 x 6, com 4 repetições de 50 sementes em cada rolo de papel germtest. Um teste de vigor de plântulas foi conduzido simultaneamente com o teste padrão de germinação. Para o estudo do índice de velocidade de emergência e porcentagem de emergência, foram utilizadas as sementes dos genótipos: Catissol 01, Agrobel 962 e Agrobel 972. As sementes foram submetidas a dois tratamentos: T1 = solução contendo 4 mL de Stimulate® L-1 de solução na pré-embebição por 4 horas e T2 = pré-embebição de sementes de girassol em água por 4 horas, sendo diariamente registrada a emergência de plântulas. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, no esquema fatorial 3 x 2. Ruiz-Gómez, Alberto Vilagrosa, Antonio D. del Campo Description An account of the resource Adaptive forest management (AFM) is an urgent need because of the uncertainty regarding how changes in the climate will affect the structure, composition and function of forests during the next decades. Current research initiatives for the long-term monitoring of impacts of silviculture are scattered and not integrated into research networks, with the consequent losses of opportunities and capacity for action. To increase the scientific and practical impacts of these experiences, it is necessary to establish logical frameworks that harmonize the information and help us to define the most appropriate treatments. In this context, a number of research groups in Spain have produced research achievements and know-how during the last decades that can allow for the improvement in AFM. These groups address the issue of AFM from different fields, such as ecophysiology, ecohydrology and forest ecology, thus resulting in valuable but dispersed expertise. The main objective of this work is to introduce a comprehensive strategy aimed to study the implementation of AFM in Spain. As a first step, a network of 34 experimental sites managed by 14 different research groups is proposed and justified. As a second step, the most important AFM impacts on Mediterranean pines, as one of the most extended natural and planted forest types in Spain, are presented. Finally, open questions dealing with key aspects when attempting to implement an AFM framework are discussed. This study is expected to contribute to better outlining the procedures and steps needed to implement regional frameworks for AFM. O experimento foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito do tratamento de sementes com bioestimulante e diferentes substratos na produção de mudas de maxixeiro. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com os tratamentos distribuídos em esquema fatorial 2 (presença ou ausência do bioestimulante) x 9 (diferentes substratos formulado); os substratos foram formulados a partir de misturas de fibra de coco (FC) e Tropstrato HT hortaliças® (THT) {S1= FC; S2= FC+THT (4:1); S3= FC+THT (3:1); S4= FC+THT (2:1); S5= FC+THT (1:1); S6= FC+THT (1:2); S7= FC+THT (1:3); S8= FC+THT (1:4); S9= THT}. Foram avaliados o número de folhas, altura de planta, diâmetro de colo, comprimento da raiz principal, massa seca da parte aérea, massa seca da raiz e massa seca total. Houve interação significativa entre os fatores estudados para a maioria das variáveis analisadas, demonstrando que a eficiência do bioestimulante está relacionada à condição de umidade e nutrientes proporcionada pelo substrato. Mudas com maior número de folhas (4,9-5,2), altura (11,46-14,53 cm), comprimento de raíz principal (9,32-10,21 cm), massa seca de parte aérea (0,78-0,92 g), massa seca total (1,09-1,12 g) foram obtidas com tratamento de sementes com bioestimulante nos substratos S4, S5 e S6. O tratamento de sementes com bioestimulante Stimulate® proporcionou melhor desenvolvimento das plantas de maxixeiro Liso de Calcutá, principalmente com os substratos S4, S5 e S6. O uso dos substratos fibra de coco ou Tropstrato HT Hortaliças® isolados não é eficiente na produção de muda de maxixeiro. Objetivo: Explorar condiciones de seguridad alimentaria en los comuneros del Resguardo Indígena La Gabriela. Método: Estudio cualitativo, de alcance exploratorio, que aplicó las técnicas de foto-voz y grupos de discusión. Se efectuó análisis de contenido. Resultados: Las condiciones de seguridad alimentaria de la comunidad indígena La Gabriela están asociadas al territorio y a prácticas alimentarias modificadas por influencia externa, lo cual afecta su autonomía generando dependencia a cadenas comerciales estimuladas por el libre mercado. Es preciso formular políticas que fortalezcan las creencias, costumbres y tradiciones ancestrales, lo cual requiere mayor atención por parte de las entidades estatales y los gobiernos.
