Una prima parte del saggio sintetizza le linee principali di un recente libro dell’autore: Per un paradigma del corpo: una rifondazione filosofica dell’ecologia, Quodlibet, Macerata, 2019. Viene sostenuto un paradigma in cui corpo e biologia mantengano la loro irriducibilità nei confronti della cultura e in cui il cosiddetto “linguistic turn”, che ha dominato la filosofia del XX secolo, viene fortemente criticato; in coerenza con questo, la riflessione di Merleau-Ponty sul concetto di natura viene considerata lo strumento più adeguato e più attuale per ripensare la questione ecologica; ne vengono esaminate le conseguenze nel campo della filosofia della tecnologia e del problema del soggetto. Una seconda parte del saggio, che si concentra sull’incontro che ebbe luogo nel 1961 fra Adorno e Merleau-Ponty, cerca di abbozzare un paradigma materialistico per l’ecologia, correggendo l’avvicinamento che alla fine della sua vita vi fu fra Merleau-Ponty e Heidegger.

Introducción. El estudio de la avicultura de traspatio y el reconocimiento e identificación de sus aportes, así como de sus dificultades, permiten fomentar su valor cultural, económico y social, para su promoción como alternativa de producción sostenible. Objetivo. Analizar, mediante revisión de literatura, a la avicultura de traspatio como expresión de la agricultura familiar, sus aportes a la seguridad alimentaria, a la mujer, a la familia, a la sociedad y a la preservación genética de las especies involucradas. Desarrollo. Se utilizó el motor de búsqueda Google Scholar®, en él se aplicaron fórmulas de búsqueda que incluyeron términos claves asociados al objetivo del trabajo, se realizó un recorrido por la avicultura de traspatio como práctica productiva tradicional, se examinó la importancia de los saberes adquiridos por parte de las comunidades campesinas y se proyectaron sus oportunidades comerciales. Conclusión. La avicultura de traspatio contribuye al desarrollo equilibrado del territorio y de las comunidades rurales, mediante la preservación de las especies, de la cultura y de la tradición; sus productos tienen el potencial de integración a mercados especializados, como resultado de sistemas sostenibles de agricultura familiar. No obstante, su permanencia en estos mercados está condicionada a la superación de problemas productivos, higiénicos y sanitarios, relacionados con el manejo tradicional de las aves.

Es por ello que el Ministerio de la Agricultura en cumplimiento de lo establecido en la Estrategia Ambiental en Cuba, se vincula con los profesionales universitarios, quienes lo proveen de herramientas que le permitan adoptar acciones a favor de mitigar el cambio climático. La investigación que se presenta tiene como objetivo general proponer un procedimiento para el reconocimiento de las partidas medioambientales en la información financiera de la U.E.B Fábrica de Piensos Cienfuegos, en correspondencia con la legislación vigente. Para su desarrollo se utilizaron diferentes métodos y técnicas, tales como: histórico-lógico, descriptivo, de análisis, síntesis y otros propios de la ciencia, lo cual permitió relacionar, comparar y arribar a resultados y conclusiones relacionados con elementos ambientales en las Notas a los Estados Financieros, como indica la Norma Especifica de Contabilidad No.11“Contabilidad Medioambiental”. Los resultados de la validación por el método de especialista, demuestran la validez, viabilidad y aplicabilidad del procedimiento, al constituir un referente facilitador, que permite identificar los recursos financieros y materiales de los que se dispone para la adopción de acciones medioambientales

La calidad del agua está ligada a la salud y garantizarla supone el bienestar colectivo de la población; por lo tanto, los esfuerzos de las naciones deben ir orientados a suplir este derecho universal. En Panamá, la calidad del agua para el consumo y la seguridad alimentaria supone un gran desafío: el cumplimiento total del Objetivo 6 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible para el año 2030. Esta investigación revela la influencia de aspectos técnicos y sociales en la calidad del agua de cuatro acueductos rurales en El Calabacito; sistemas que se abastecen de pozos de agua subterránea que no reciben tratamiento oportuno. En este sentido, se efectuaron análisis de laboratorio durante 2018-2019, como parte del estudio “Diagnóstico y mejoras al sistema de acueducto rural de las comunidades de Ojo de Agua, Las Lomas, La Canoa y El Calabacito”, para conocer el estado fisicoquímico y microbiológico del agua en el área de estudio. Se encontró que la calidad fisicoquímica es aceptable para el consumo; no obstante, es necesario aplicar tratamiento para reducir las concentraciones de coliformes totales reportadas en los análisis. Considerando las características tecnológicas y socioeconómicas del área de estudio, se recomienda la desinfección del agua con cloro, para potenciar el beneficio/costo en el proceso de tratamiento previo. Es aconsejable, además, el monitoreo de parámetros como la turbiedad, alcalinidad, dureza y cloro residual de las fuentes; debido a concentraciones por encima de los valores máximos permitidos por los reglamentos técnicos DGNTI-COPANIT 23-395-99 y 21-2019.

Abstract More than 7 thousand wildfires were recorded over Mexico in 2019, affecting almost 640 thousand hectares. Most of these fires occurred during the spring season generating dense smoke plumes, impacting urban areas in the central part of the Mexican plateau. From May 10 to 17, 2019, biomass burning (BB) plumes affected Mexico City (MC) and diffused across the basin, producing PM2.5 levels ~ 2 times higher than the nation's air quality standards. Average PM2.5 concentrations increased sharply from 29.4 ± 7.2 µg m−3 to 65.1 ± 13.6 µg m−3 when the dense smoke plumes were detected. The higher particle concentration impacted the aerosol optical depth (AOD) as values ~ 3 times greater than the annual mean (0.32 ± 0.12) were measured, which resulted in a 17% loss of global horizontal irradiation (GHI). Under these severe pollution conditions, the visibility (V a ) was reduced by ~ 80%. The high incidence of strong absorbent particles, such as soot and tarballs was revealed through electron microscopy and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis. These techniques show chemical similarities between MC aerosols and those from the high-altitude (~ 4010 m. a. g. l.) Altzomoni Atmospheric Observatory, evidencing a strong influence of the BB emissions, suggesting a regional transport of these pollutants.

Introducción. Las variables climáticas han sido en el cultivo del café en la región centroamericana; las altas temperaturas, altos niveles de luz ultravioleta (UV), las precipitaciones y su intensidad, han causado serios problemas para el desarrollo del cultivo. Hay desequilibrios fisiológicos causantes de pérdidas en la estimulación y cuajes florales y, según la variedad, las mermas de la producción pueden ser superiores al 60 %. Objetivo. Conocer el efecto que tiene un nuevo bioestimulante sobre la floración, maduración y calidad de los frutos en el cultivo del café. Materiales y métodos. El trabajo se realizó durante los años 2018 y 2019, en la finca La Hilda, lote Murillo, localizada en la provincia de Alajuela, Cantón San Pedro de Póas, Costa Rica, bajo manejo agroecológico. Se evaluó el efecto de la aplicación de un producto bioestimulante foliar a dosis de 3 l ha-1, certificado para producción en agricultura ecológica. Se utilizaron dos tratamientos, dos y tres aplicaciones, de bioestimulante y se compararon con un testigo absoluto. Los parámetros evaluados fueron: la estimulación y cuaje floral, nudos productivos para el próximo ciclo y calidad de los frutos. Resultados. No existieron diferencias estadísticas significativas entre los dos tratamientos del bioestimulante (3 l ha-1) en contraste con el testigo. Al evaluar la mayor producción de frutos cuajados y mayor calidad de estos, cuando se realizaron las aplicaciones durante la fase de floración y fructificación, se obtuvo una homogeneidad de la maduración y mayor número de cerezas por ramas. Conclusión. El empleo del nuevo bioestimulante con dos aplicaciones foliares sobre el cultivo del café, estimuló la floración, maduración y calidad de los frutos respecto al testigo sin tratar.

En el Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas y Pecuarias (INIFAP) se ha realizado investigación en incendios forestales orientada desde la perspectiva del concepto de manejo del fuego. Con base en esto, se han desarrollado las siguientes líneas de investigación: evaluación de combustibles, ecología del fuego, comportamiento del fuego, zonificación, cambio climático, dendropirocronología y perspectiva social. Se presenta una perspectiva de investigación, en la cual se proponen estrategias de organización, formación de recursos humanos y transferencia de tecnología. Se plantea conciliar, principalmente, el estudio del comportamiento del fuego con un análisis ecológico amplio de sus efectos, lo que requerirá una participación más diversa de grupos interdisciplinarios. En este proceso, el INIFAP ha apoyado la formación de recursos humanos, que se lleva a cabo con base en las siguientes estrategias: 1) impartición de cursos específicos sobre diversos temas; 2) ejecución de talleres prácticos, tanto a nivel de campo como teórico; 3) apoyo a tesistas de diferentes niveles; y 4) integración de grupos de trabajos en diversos proyectos de investigación. Se concluye que en el INIFAP se ha contribuido al desarrollo de la investigación sobre incendios forestales; sin embargo, aún hay mucho que hacer sobre el tema, como completar un marco de referencia de la problemática de los incendios forestales en México, que constituya la base para la definición de los temas prioritarios por estudiar.

Introducción: Las turberas de altura juegan un papel importante en el mantenimiento de la biodiversidad y funcionamiento de los procesos ecológicos locales. En Costa Rica, la información sobre la riqueza y diversidad de aves en turberas de altura es escasa. Objetivo: Analizar la distribución altitudinal de la riqueza y diversidad de aves en turberas de altura. Métodos: Muestreamos cuatro sitios entre 2 400 y 3 100 m de altitud. Establecimos tres puntos de observación en cada sitio, separados por 100 m. El muestreo incluyó la estación seca, transición a lluviosa, lluviosa, y transición a seca (setiembre de 2018 a setiembre de 2019). El horario de muestreo fue entre las 06:00 y las 09:00 y utilizamos dos métodos: recuento de puntos y búsqueda en área. Resultados: Identificamos 75 especies (25 familias, 11 órdenes), en ocho turberas. Encontramos la mayor diversidad (H '= 3,12) y riqueza de aves (49 especies observadas y 56 esperadas) en turberas a 2 400 m de altitud, y la menor a 2 600 y 2 800 m. Encontramos que el 43% de las especies en todos los gradientes son endémicas, el 34% residentes de y el 14% migrantes latitudinales. Conclusiones: La gran diversidad de aves en estas turberas de altura demuestra que son ecosistemas necesarios para la supervivencia y mantenimiento del endemismo local. Recomendamos monitorear las aves a largo plazo para detectar cambios en las comunidades de aves, particularmente con el cambio climático actual.

Urban agriculture (UA) is characterized by agricultural production within urban and peri-urban areas to produce food or generate income. Depending on the context of the place where it is implemented, this practice can improve the landscape, the quality of life and food of producers, as well as their social relations. This paper aims to present visible transformations, not only of the environment, but also the improvement of the quality of life of urban farmers in Tatuquara, at Curitiba-PR, during the years 2017 and 2018. It was observed that UA was responsible for increasing the improvement of life, landscape and security in the local community, as well as the sense of topophilia, the emotional bond between people and place, according to Yi-Fu Tuan. Despite its use in urban marketing, the continuity of the practice is threatened by the possible end of the partnership with the power utility and by pressure from the real estate market. For this paper, a literature review on the concept of UA was conducted, as well as a historical-geographical study of the neighborhood in question. Interviews with urban farmers at Tatuquara were conducted to assess their feelings about UA and how this practice has affected their lives.

Cifras de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO), indican que el 70% de los pobres del mundo viven en zonas rurales y dependen de la agricultura y la ganadería como su principal fuente de ingresos. Su subsistencia se encuentra seriamente amenazada el aumento en la demanda de alimentos, la degradación de los recursos naturales y los graves efectos del cambio climático. Bajo este contexto de demanda, los precios de los alimentos se tornan cada vez más inaccesibles a las poblaciones rurales, sobre todo las que tienen un mayor grado de marginación o rezago social; lo cual compromete la seguridad de contar con alimentos sanos y de buena calidad. Existe un potencial en la producción familiar en el medio rural mexicano que bien puede subsanar esta problemática de la disponibilidad de alimentos a un menor costo, que mitiguen los problemas de pobreza, hambre y desigualdad que propician una migración constante de la gente del campo a las grandes ciudades o a los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. La inseguridad alimentaria constituye una problemática compleja que debe de ser abordada desde una estrategia concertada por todos los actores y canalizada a través de planes de acción integrales. Dichos planes deben enmarcarse en el ámbito de la producción sustentable que incluya el desarrollo de los diversos sistemas de producción agropecuaria, ya sea en grande, mediana o pequeña escala, y que, desde luego, incluyan la producción de tipo familiar o de traspatio.
