El contenido de agua (CH, %) es un factor que define la inflamabilidad de los combustibles vegetales y su dinámica temporal puede ser usada para com - prender la ecología del fuego en una región, planificar su uso como prescripto; o como un indicador de riesgo para su prevención. En este trabajo se evaluó la dinámica de CH a través del tiempo en tres sitios ecológicos (≈ modelos de combustible) de la región chaqueña, en muestras con e lionorus muticus como especie dominante (sitio bajo, sabana), Trichloris pluriflora y Pappopphorum pappipherum (sitio media loma, parques) y una especie exótica, Panicum máximum cv Gatton (sitio loma, bosque secundario rolado), respectivamente. El CH fue deter - minado en forma gravimétrica mensualmente en el bajo en 1992; y cada 10-15 días entre mayo 2008 y octubre 2009 en la media loma y la loma. Los datos fueron analizados en forma gráfica y mediante análisis de la varianza empleando estación climática, especie y tiempo cronológico como factores de clasificación. El CH promedio de las especies a través del tiempo presentó una amplitud estacional marcada, entre 4-5% en invierno-primavera y mayor al 150% en verano-otoño. Las especies nativas presentaron un CH significativamente menor que P. maximum y más bajo que el umbral de extinción teórico (CH=30%) indicando que en la región chaqueña, como en otros ecosistemas, las gramíneas y sus formaciones vegetales son el combustible por donde se propaga el fuego. La dinámica temporal de CH podría ser representada por una sinusoide. La correlación entre CH y la máxima humedad relativa entre fechas de muestreo fue significativa. Ambos resultados sugieren que es factible usar funciones matemáticas conocidas y métodos indirectos para predecir CH y la ‘inflamabilidad’ del combusti - ble en las estaciones climáticas, facilitando la predicción del comportamiento de fuego. Dada una fuente de ignición, para que un fuego pueda prosperar deben existir ciertas condiciones. Entre ellas, el contenido de humedad del combustible (CH) juega un rol fundamental ya que su magnitud influirá en la probabilidad de ignición, en el posterior comportamiento del fuego y en el impacto que éste tendrá sobre el ecosistema afectado. Existen diferencias entre el contenido de humedad de los combustibles vivos (CHCV) y el de los muertos (CHCM), debido a que el contenido del agua en cada uno de ellos responde a procesos distintos. Mientras que el CHCV responde a características propias de las especies como su fisiología y fenología, el CHCM varía de acuerdo a leyes físicas universales que regulan el intercambio de humedad entre ese combustible y el ambiente que lo rodea. Dada la relevancia que tiene CH, se han desarrollado diversos métodos y sistemas para medirlo, estimarlo, y/o poder predecirlo. Conocer su dinámica a lo largo del tiempo permite, además, determinar los períodos en los que el fuego es más propenso a ocurrir en cada ecosistema. Al presente, se han realizado estudios preliminares para algunas especies de la región chaqueña. Para el desarrollo de indicadores de peligro y modelos de comportamiento que permitan llevar a cabo quemas prescriptas con un mayor grado de seguridad y mejor cumplimiento de los objetivos, es necesario incrementar este conocimiento a un mayor número de especies. El objetivo de este trabajo fue, por lo tanto, ampliar la información existente, cuantificando la dinámica estacional del CH en diferentes especies nativas de gramíneas, arbustos y árboles de la región chaqueña. Además analizamos los efectos de la estación climática, el sitio ecológico y las características del combustible sobre el CH. En esta primera parte, presentamos las bases conceptuales sobre la combustión de los vegetales y su relación con el CH, las características que hacen a las diferencias entre combustibles vivos y muertos, los factores que inciden en sus respectivas dinámicas, y las metodologías que existen para su determinación. Karl Description An account of the resource Lockdown and the associated massive reduction in people's mobility imposed by SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) mitigation measures across the globe provide a unique sensitivity experiment to investigate impacts on carbon and air pollution emissions. We present an integrated observational analysis based on long-term in situ multispecies eddy flux measurements, allowing for quantifying near-real-time changes of urban surface emissions for key air quality and climate tracers. During the first European SARS-CoV-2 wave we find that the emission reduction of classic air pollutants decoupled from CO2 and was significantly larger. These differences can only be rationalized by the different nature of urban combustion sources and point towards a systematic bias of extrapolated urban NOx emissions in state-of-the-art emission models. The analysis suggests that European policies, shifting residential, public, and commercial energy demand towards cleaner combustion, have helped to improve air quality more than expected and that the urban NOx flux remains to be dominated (e.g., &gt;90 %) by traffic. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es la generación de herramientas metodológicas para utilizar en talleres que contribuyan a un proceso de acción-reflexión-acción de los aspectos ecológicos productivos de la agroecología. Un segundo objetivo, no menos importante, es la sistematización de las metodologías generadas con el fin de difundir el material construido entre los facilitadores que se propongan abordar la agroecología en talleres. Básicamente el trabajo se realizó bajo la modalidad taller: se entiende por taller un espacio en donde el hacer se entrelaza con la reflexión, en un entorno en el cual los participantes se animan a arriesgar ideas. La modalidad taller se llevó a cabo a través de diferentes técnicas de trabajo grupal. El objetivo propuesto inicialmente fue logrado. Se identificaron percepciones y actitudes de los participantes de los talleres que hablan de que las técnicas generadas son válidas para ser utilizadas en un proceso educativo y participativo. La secuencia de construcción de los talleres y su reformulación se dio en un marco dialéctico (“hacer-flexionar- hacer) que enriquecieron el trabajo." Esto además es especialmente crítico en las cuencas del arco mediterráneo español, dado que actualmente ya presentan un alto estrés hídrico y fuertes alteraciones antrópicas de su régimen. El caso de estudio es el de la Rambla de la Viuda. Dentro de la misma se encuentran los embalses de Mª. Cristina y Alcora, el primero de ellos con problemas de aterramiento y probable infra-dimensionamiento de su aliviadero, por lo que es prioritario el conocimiento de lo que pueda ocurrir con este embalse en el futuro. Los posibles efectos del Cambio Climático en la cuenca de la Rambla de la Viuda se han estimado utilizando el modelo hidrológico distribuido TETIS y su sub-modelo de sedimentos activado. La información meteorológica empleada proviene de escenarios climáticos regionalizados acordes con el quinto informe AR5 del IPCC, información que tuvo que ser corregida debido a errores relacionados con su resolución y/o hipótesis de regionalización. Los resultados de la modelización indican que en lo que respecta al clima, no hay una señal clara de cambios en la precipitación, tanto en cantidad como en torrencialidad, aunque si es evidente el futuro aumento de temperaturas que se traducirá en un incremento de la evapotranspiración de referencia. Tras la modelización, dicho incremento da lugar a una reducción de los recursos disponibles, tanto superficiales como subterráneos, pero al mismo tiempo a una disminución en los cuantiles de crecida, por lo que consecuentemente cabe esperar también en el futuro una disminución de los aportes de sedimentos al embalse de Mª Cristina. Chaumerliac Description An account of the resource A new detailed aqueous phase mechanism named the Cloud Explicit Physico-chemical Scheme (CLEPS 1.0) is proposed to describe the oxidation of water soluble organic compounds resulting from isoprene oxidation. It is based on structure activity relationships (SARs) which provide global rate constants together with branching ratios for HO⋅ abstraction and addition on atmospheric organic compounds. The GROMHE SAR allows the evaluation of Henry's law constants for undocumented organic compounds. This new aqueous phase mechanism is coupled with the MCM v3.3.1 gas phase mechanism through a mass transfer scheme between gas phase and aqueous phase. The resulting multiphase mechanism has then been implemented in a model based on the Dynamically Simple Model for Atmospheric Chemical Complexity (DSMACC) using the Kinetic PreProcessor (KPP) that can serve to analyze data from cloud chamber experiments and field campaigns. The simulation of permanent cloud under low-NOx conditions describes the formation of oxidized monoacids and diacids in the aqueous phase as well as a significant influence on the gas phase chemistry and composition and shows that the aqueous phase reactivity leads to an efficient fragmentation and functionalization of organic compounds.
