In this article, we present a simple approach to even day and 14 day forecasts of the number of COVID-19 cases. The 14 day forecast can be taken as a proxy nowcast of infections that occur on the calculation day in question, if we assume the hypothesis that about two weeks elapse from the day a person is infected until the health authorities register it as a confirmed case. Our approach relies on polynomial regression between the dependent variable y (cumulative number of cases) and the independent variable x (time) and is modeled as a third-degree polynomial in x. The analogy between the pandemic spread and the kinematics of linear motion with variable acceleration is useful in assessing the rate and acceleration of spread. Our frame is applied to official data of the cumulative number of cases in Spain from 15 June until 17 October 2020. The epidemic curve of the cumulative number of cases adequately fits the cubic function for periods of up to two months with coefficients of determination R-squared greater than 0.97. The results obtained when testing the algorithm developed with the pandemic figures in Spain lead to short-term forecasts with relative errors of less than ±1.1% in the seven day predictions and less than ±4.0% in the 14 day predictions. The results showed that the attitudes of respondents regarding the Covid-19 pandemic obtained 6.136 respondents agreed that Covid-19 could be controlled, 6.038 respondents agreed that Indonesia would be free from the coronavirus and 6.489 respondents agreed that consumption of balanced nutritional food, maintaining distance and washing hands properly can prevent the transmission of Covid-19. A total of 3,861 respondents did physical activity less than 3 times a week, 6.234 respondents processed their food, 3,309 respondents sometimes consumed fruit and vegetables, 5.111 respondents always washed their hands using running water and soap, 3.576 respondents sometimes sunbathing above 9 o'clock. Pentraxin-3(PTX3) participates in innate resistance to infections and plays a role in thrombogenesis. PURPOSE The present study aimed to investigate the role of PTX3 in coagulopathy in patients with COVID-19. METHODS A retrospective study including thirty-nine COVID-19 patients enrolled in Hunan, China were performed. The patients were classified into the D-dimer_L (D-dimer?1mg/L) and D-dimer_H (D-dimer?1mg/L) groups basing on the plasma D-dimer levels on admission. Serum PTX3 levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and compared between those two groups, and then linear regression models were applied to analyze the association between PTX3 and D-dimer. RESULTS Our results showed that serum PTX3 levels (median values, 10.21 vs 3.36, P < 0.001), chest computerized tomography scores (median values, 10.0 vs 9.0, P < 0.05), and length of stay (16.0±4.2 vs 10.7±3.6, P = 0.001) in the D-dimer_H group were significantly higher than that in D-dimer_L group. The coefficient of determination for PTX3 was 0.651 (P < 0.001) in the D-dimer_H group. CONCLUSION Serum level of PTX3 was positively correlated with disease severity and coagulopathy. Detection of serum PTX3 level could assist to identify severer patients on admission and may be a potential therapeutic target for coagulopathy in patients with COVID-19. Our results show that demand for products/services and cash flow in companies has decreased significantly, the workforce being affected by dismissals and temporary leaves/furloughing. Sonuç: COVID-19'un biyolojik bir saldırı olup olmadığı hala tartışılırken, iyonizan radyasyona maruziyetinde ki bu artışın tartışmaya değer bir konu olduğunu düşünüyoruz.
