                <text>The fractional application efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer and organic biostimulants is affected by thetime of supply in the crop. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of the fractionatedapplication of nitrogen and organic biostimulants in different phenological stages of triticale(xTriticosecale Wittmack), and its relationship with forage yield and its components under smallcampaign conditions and low irrigated. The trial was carried out in fallow fields of 2018, lot 2, EEA ElMantaro-UNCP, El Mantaro-Jauja. The treatments consisted of the application of two and threefractions, of nitrogen, dose 150 kg ha-1 and biostimulants, 3 l ha-1, during two and three earlyphenological stages: tillering, expanded flag leaf and boot. The experimental design was randomizedcomplete blocks with three repetitions. The fractionation in two, of the nitrogenous fertilization (75 kgha-1) and of the Stym25 biostimulant (1.5 l ha-1) applied in two stages, tillering (five tillers) and stemelongation (expanded flag sheet), were associated with higher production of aerial biomass (forage)and greater establishment of stems (tillers) per unit area, implanting 47.89 t ha-1 of forage and 600stems m-2.</text>

                <text>O Território Centro-Sul do Paraná, composto inicialmente por doze municípios da região centro-sul do estado, vivencia um crescimento da cadeia produtiva de plantas medicinais aromáticas e condimentares (PLAMAC). Para verificar a atual situação do referido Território, foi realizado um diagnóstico das características de cultivo e infraestrutura da cadeia produtiva. Com o auxílio de secretários de agricultura, técnicos do Instituto EMATER e ONG´s, foram preenchidos 25 questionários e identificada uma área cultivada superior a 60 ha com produção estimada de 9825 Kg, somando-se as diversas espécies, distribuídas em 142 famílias utilizando 92 espécies de PLAMAC. Após o beneficiamento as plantas são utilizadas na fitoterapia e na culinária popular. A possibilidade de uso das plantas medicinais no complemento e diversificação na flora da reserva legal são um atrativo ao policultivo da agricultura familiar, pois com o manejo correto é uma fonte extra de renda. Dessa forma, o cultivo das PLAMAC tem aumentado, bem como a busca por qualidade. Verificamos que a produção de plantas medicinais é desenvolvida em 75% dos municípios do Território Centro-Sul do Paraná. Em 67% destes municípios que desenvolvem a atividade, os produtores apresentam perspectivas de expansão e 33% consideram a atividade estável. Prudentópolis concentra o maior número de produtores e a camomila é a planta com maior área de cultivo (24,1 ha). O processo de secagem em alguns dos casos é coletivo, no total estão instalados 104 secadores em todo o Território, sendo que 16,34% esperam as plantas secarem naturalmente à sombra, 5,76% secam as plantas expostas ao sol, 54,8% secam utilizando secadores com fonte artificial de calor e 23,07% utilizam adaptação de ambiente através de estufas solares.</text>

                <text>Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus ticks cause significant economic losses to the Colombian cattle sector: reduction in meat and milk production, blood losses and transmission of blood parasites. The degree of infestation depends on the breed, physiological state and nutrition of the animal and on microclimatic characteristics, which affect the tick life cycle. Diverse studies suggest that given the characteristics of intensive silvopastoral systems (ISS), tick loads within these systems are lower. In this study, the tick loads of grazing animals were monitored for five animal groups: three at an ISS and two at traditional farms located on the Valley of Ibague (Tolima). within the ISS, there were greater tick loads in high production cows (P = 0.026) and a positive relationship (P &lt; 0.05) between milk production and tick load in August sampling. Greater tick counts were also observed in the in San Javier (traditional farm) group compared to all other animal groups. We conclude that the dynamics of ticks is a complex phenomenon affected by many factors, whose association determines the observed tick population at any given time.</text>

                <text>The culture of passion fruit presented in recent years expansion of cultivated area, driven mainly by increased domestic consumption of fresh fruit and the juice processed. The Brazil is the largest world producer and consumer of the yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims. f. flavicarpa Deg.), but domestic production did not supply the market demand agribusiness. This work aimed to objective evaluates the effects of different electric conductivities of the irrigation water (ECiw), associated to application frequencies of bovine biofertilizer on physical quality of fruits and production of the yellow passion fruit plants. The treatments were distributed in randomized blocks with three repetitions, using the factorial design 5 x 4, referring to levels of ECiw of 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 dS m-1, and four frequencies of application of the biofertilizer bovine: without bovine biofertilizer (WBB); with bovine biofertilizer applied one week before of the transplanting (1WBT); application at each interval of 90 days after transplanting (90DAT); and, bovine biofertilizer applied one week before and each interval of 90 days after transplanting (1WBT+90DAT). The increase of the saline concentration of the irrigation water provoked losses of production and physical qualities of the fruits yellow passion fruit plant, being more drastic in the superior conductivity to 2,5 dS m-1. However, reduction of the losses was verified in the treatments with them largest frequency of application of the biofertilizante, resulting in fruits with quality and compatible production with to the demands of the market to the natural and of the industrial section. A cultura do maracujazeiro apresentou nos últimos anos expansão da área cultivada, motivada, principalmente, pelo aumento do consumo interno da fruta in natura e pelo suco processado. Atualmente o Brasil é o maior produtor e consumidor mundial do maracujá amarelo (Passiflora edulis Sims. f. flavicarpa Deg.), no entanto, a produção nacional não supriu a demanda do mercado agroindustrial. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos de diferentes condutividades elétricas da água de irrigação (CEai), associadas às épocas de aplicação de biofertilizante, sobre a produção e a qualidade física de frutos de maracujá amarelo. Os tratamentos foram distribuídos em arranjo fatorial 5 x 4, referentes aos valores de CEai: 0,5; 1,5; 2,5; 3,5 e 4,5 dS m-1, em quatro épocas de aplicação do biofertilizante: sem a aplicação do biofertilizante (SB); aplicação realizada uma semana antes do transplantio (1SAT); aplicação a cada 90 dias a partir do transplantio (90DAT); aplicação uma semana antes e a cada 90 dias após o transplantio (1SAT+90DAT). O aumento da concentração salina da água de irrigação provocou perdas da produção e das qualidades físicas dos frutos do maracujazeiro amarelo, sendo mais drástico na condutividade superior a 2,5 dS m-1. No entanto, foi verificada redução das perdas nos tratamentos com as maiores frequências de aplicação do biofertilizante, resultando em frutos com qualidade e produção compatíveis com as exigências do mercado ao natural e do setor industrial.</text>

                <text>Atualmente no Brasil a procura por novas fontes alternativas de energia é cada vez mais pesquisado nos seus diversos âmbitos. A renovação da matriz energética é comumente debatida por todo o país, fazendo com que haja novas possibilidades na utilização de meios para geração de energia. Um dos novos mecanismos utilizado para a geração de energia no campo brasileiro é a utilização de biomassa para geração de energia por meio de biodigestores que decompõe a matéria orgânica gerando o biogás, sendo esse utilizado na substituição de derivados do petróleo em motores movidos a gás, em fogões residenciais e afins. Em uma análise bibliográfica é apresentado os diversos modelos de biodigestores como o chinês, indiano e batelada auxiliam o camponês para os mais específicos modos de utilização. A utilização do biogás em propriedades rurais proporciona a diminuição do consumo de derivados do petróleo à produção de energia, aumenta a produção de biofertilizantes para utilização na fertilização do solo, pois é rico em húmus e nutrientes, baixando o custo de produção do plantio, e contribui para a preservação do meio ambiente, pois utiliza o lixo doméstico, resíduo industriais vegetais e até esterco animal</text>

                <text>Macaw (Acrocomia aculeata) is a product of Brazilian socio-biodiversity and is an excellent source of oil for the cosmetics, food and fuel industry. One of the technical bottlenecks of macaw fruit production is the manual harvesting with rudimentary tools and the extractive system, which has a very large dependence on labor. The objective of this work was to develop the informational and conceptual design of a semi-mechanized harvesting system that can be used in adverse conditions of relief, also directed to the needs of family farmers. In this work the concept of a low cost macaw harvester is proposed, which works by the principle of mechanical vibrations, and is able to work efficiently in planted and natural plantations. From an adaptation of the Pahl and Beitz method for the development of machine designs, and the use of the evolution prototyping method, integration prototypes were constructed, which underwent a preliminary field test. Some modifications were made in portable coffee breakers, which constituted changes in the vibration signal generation system that were transmitted to macaw fruits at the head / plant interface. Only one of the built prototypes was considered effective and suitable for subsequent performance (product under patent registration). For the detailed design, CAD (Computer Aided Design) techniques were employed. Later, it was possible to observe the validation of efficiency of the macaw fruit harvest by the principle of mechanical vibrations. Under field conditions, field trials demonstrated that the average harvest efficiency for the proposed model with vibrating rods was 97.4% and the average harvesting capacity was 566.91 kg h-1.</text>

                <text>El presente estudio lleva a establecer si los conocimientos y práctica ancestrales y tradicionales que desarrollan los agricultores de la parroquia de San Joaquín del Cantón Cuenca, fortalecen la sustentabilidad de los sistemas hortícolas.     Para conocer si estos sistemas se mantienen productivos a través del tiempo se utilizó el Marco para la Evaluación de Sistemas de Manejo de Recursos Naturales incorporando Indicadores de Sustentabilidad (MESMIS), comparando las prácticas productivas de una finca convencional con nueve fincas agroecológicas, donde se estableció los puntos críticos de los sistemas hortícolas para en el futuro modificarlos y lograr sistemas productivos más sustentables a pesar de ser intensivos.     En el estudio se estableció en la dimensión ambiental logra un mínimo del 2.8/5 (56%) y como máximo al 3.8/5  (76%), dentro de la dimensión social se establece un valor mínimo de 3.2/5  (64%) y un valor máximo de 4.8/5  (96%), y la dimensión económica con un valor mínimo de 2.6/5 (52%) y máximo del 4.8/5 (96%).       Los sistemas hortícolas se establece que cuentan con un grado de sustentabilidad significativo, debido a que las tres dimensiones agroecológicas se encuentran por encima del promedio, debido a que los campesinos desarrollan diversas prácticas ancestrales, tradicionales y culturales dentro de los agroecosistemas como: en lo social; la asociatividad interna de las familias para la producción y comercialización, en la producción; la asociación, la rotación y la biodiversidad, logrando una producción diversificada que genera los beneficios económicos  para mejorar la calidad de vida de cada uno de los integrantes que conforman la familia campesina.</text>

                <text>Los acridios (tucuras y langostas) continúan ocasionando pérdidas económicas en la agricultura a nivel mundial. En Argentina, la importancia de estos insectos ha sido reconocida desde mediados del siglo XIX, dependiendo de la región considerada y en relación al progresivo desarrollo agropecuario en el país. Los hongos son los microorganismos parásitos de insectos más frecuentemente encontrados en la naturaleza y la mayoría de las investigaciones con hongos entomopatógenos se ha centrado en su desarrollo como bioplaguicidas. En el presente trabajo se dan a conocer cinco registros nuevos de Beauveria bassiana (Bals.-Criv.) Vuill., y dos de Entomophaga grylli (Fresen.) A. Batko que se encontraron afectando distintas especies de acridios; se amplía así la distribución geográfica y el espectro hospedador para estas especies fúngicas. Cabe destacar que con el aporte de estos siete registros nuevos, el número total de hongos entomopatógenos de acridios citados para la República Argentina se eleva de 22 a 29.Grasshoppers and locusts continue causing serious economic losses in agriculture worldwide. In Argentina, the importance of these insects has been recognized since the mid-nineteenth century, depending on the region considered and in relation to the progressive development of agriculture. Fungi are the most frequently found microorganisms parasitizing insects in nature, and most of the entomopathogenic fungi investigations have been focused on their development as biopesticides. In this study five new records of Beauveria bassiana (Bals.-Criv.) Vuill., and two new records of Entomophaga grylli (Fresen.) A. Batko, are presented, extending the geographical distribution and the host range for these fungal species. With these seven new records, the total number of grasshopper entomopathogenic fungi cited for Argentina is raised from 22 to 29.</text>

                <text>The chemical composition and biological properties of Ulva fasciata aqueous-ethanolic extract were examined. Five components were identified in one fraction prepared from the extract by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and palmitic acid and its ethyl ester accounted for 76% of the total identified components. Furthermore, we assessed the extract’s antioxidant properties by using the DPPH, ABTS, and lipid peroxidation assays and found that the extract had a moderate scavenging effect. In an experiment involving preexposition and coexposition of the extract (1–500 µg/mL) and benzo[a]pyrene (BP), the extract was found to be nontoxic to C9 cells in culture and to inhibit the cytotoxicity induced by BP. As BP is biotransformed by CYP1A and CYP2B subfamilies, we explored the possible interaction of the extract with these enzymes. The extract (25–50 µg/mL) inhibited CYP1A1 activity in rat liver microsomes. Analysis of the inhibition kinetics revealed a mixed-type inhibitory effect on CYP1A1 supersome. The effects of the extract on BP-induced DNA damage and hepatic CYP activity in mice were also investigated. Micronuclei induction by BP and liver CYP1A1/2 activities significantly decreased in animals treated with the extract. The results suggest that Ulva fasciata aqueous-ethanolic extract inhibits BP bioactivation and it may be a potential chemopreventive agent.</text>

                <text>Se evaluó comparativamente el posible efecto diferencial que, sobre la actividad de las enzimas proteasa, fosfatasa ácida, fosfatasa alcalina y celulasa, además del pH y la materia orgánica del suelo, tuvieron los métodos de control de Phytophthora infestans tanto en la agricultura orgánica (purín de Chipaca Bidens pilosum) como en la convencional (diversos fungicidas comerciales) en plantas de papa (Solanum tuberosum). Igualmente, en los parámetros antes mencionados, se evaluó el efecto de un promotor fúngico utilizado como control del mismo hongo en ambas agriculturas. La investigación se dividió en una fase de campo y una de laboratorio. En la fase de campo, realizada durante siete meses de 1999, se acompañó la siembra, el desarrollo del cultivo y evolución de la enfermedad a través de la determinación de la incidencia y su severidad. En el laboratorio se determinó la actividad enzimática proteasa, fosfatasa ácida, fosfatasa alcalina, celulasa, así como también el pH y porcentaje de materia orgánica. Se encontró que en el manejo agrícola orgánico la actividad de la fosfatasa ácida, la fosfatasa alcalina y la proteasa así como también el pH fueron más influenciados por el estado de desarrollo de las plantas que por efecto del los tratamientos utilizados en el control del hongo. En el manejo agrícola convencional la actividad enzimática de las celulasas fue inhibida significativamente por los fungicidas. La actividad de las proteasas y fosfatasas ácidas fueron estimuladas por efecto de los fungicidas comerciales y por el estado de desarrollo de las plantas. Las actividades enzimáticas fosfatasa ácida, proteasa y celulasa presentaron comportamientos significativamente diferentes entre los cultivos convencional y orgánico. Para el control de la enfermedad, el uso de los fungicidas fue el tratamiento que mejores resultados presentó con una mayor producción de papa pero con mayores gastos de producción, mientras que la utilización de los elicitores y la aplicación del purín de chipaca (Bidens pilosum) no controlaron la expresión de la enfermedad.</text>
