Dentro do processo de adaptação dos assentados, uma das características que se deve levar em consideração é a forma como interagem com o meio ambiente. O uso da terra de forma sustentável é uma realidade histórica na agricultura familiar, a forma como manejam os agroecossistemas como os quintais agroflorestais é de fundamental importância na conservação dos recursos naturais. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho objetivou realizar uma análise comparativa dos benefícios gerados na manutenção dos quintais agroflorestais, bem como do comportamento ambiental dos reassentados do reassentamento Mariana. Utilizou-se como ferramenta metodológica a observação/etnografia e a realização de uma análise multitemporal dos quintais agroflorestais do reassentamento. Foi possível observar no estudo que todos os quintais delimitados no reassentamento Mariana tiveram um aumento da área de cobertura vegetal nos quintais agroflorestais, entretanto de todos os quintais amostrados os lotes 4 e 5 foram os que mais se destacaram em densidade riqueza e diversidade das espécies nativas.The agroforest homegarden in the perception of resettlement of residents Mariana, TocantinsAbstract: The Luís Eduardo Magalhães hydroelectric power plant is the first hydroelectric power plant in the State of Tocantins, consequently the same was responsible for filling the reservoir in the central region of the State, causing the expropriation and the relocation of the riverside communities of the Tocantins river to resettlement, which generated several spacial changes. Within the process of adaptation of the settlers, one of the characteristics that should be taken into consideration is how they interact with the environment. The use of land in a sustainable way is a historical reality in family farming, how responders agroecosystems as the quintals agroforestry is of fundamental importance in the conservation of natural resources. In this way the present work aimed to carry out a comparative analysis of the benefits generated in the maintenance of the Agroforestry backyards, as well as the environmental behavior of resettle of resettlement Mariana. It was used as a methodological tool to note/ethnography and the achievement of a multitemporal analysis of agroforestry backyards of resettlement. It was possible to observe in the study that all quintals delimited in the resettlement Mariana had an increase of plant coverage area in quintals agroforestry, however all quintals sampled the lots 4 and 5 were those that stood out in density wealth and diversity of native species.
