Park’s work have mainly revolved around urban ecology. At present we can perceive a broad and diverse reading that explores their theoretical and empirical contributions to other subjects such as public opinion and press and so on. This article deals with the link between press and city, laboratories of modernity and spaces of socialization, in the work and life of Park, reporter and sociologist.</text>
