              <text>El presente artículo da fe del experimento auspiciado por la Universidad Cuito Cuanavale del Instituto Superior Politécnico de Cunene, se acometió en áreas agrícolas del Bairro Castilhos en Ondjiva, provincia de Cunene, Angola en el curso 2018-2019, el cual permitió evaluar diferentes sustratos orgánicos en el cultivo de Cucurbita maxima Duch variedad Marucha. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con cuatro tratamientos y tres réplicas respectivamente, con diferentes sustratos orgánicos: Tratamiento uno (control o testigo) (T1), 100% del suelo (sin fertilizantes orgánicos); tratamiento dos (T2), 50% de tierra y 50% de estiércol bovino (EB); tratamiento tres (T3), 50% de tierra y 50% de estiércol caprino (CE); tratamiento cuatro (T4), 50% de tierra, 25% de estiércol bovino (EB) y 25% de estiércol de cabra (CE). El tratamiento tres con la utilización del estiércol caprino demostró mayor desarrollo, crecimiento y rendimiento del cultivo que conllevó el cuidado del medioambiente y de la salud humana.
