<text>Advances in precision agriculture allow researchers to capture data more frequently and in more detail. For example, it is typical to collect 'on-the-go' data such as soil electrical conductivity readings. This creates the opportunity to use these measurements as covariates for the primary response variable to possibly increase experimental precision. Moreover, these measurements are also spatially referenced to one another, creating the need for methods in which spatial locations play an explicit role in the analysis of the data. Data sets which contain measurements on a spatially referenced response and covariate are analyzed using either cokriging or spatial analysis of covariance. While cokriging accounts for the correlation structure of the covariate, it is purely a predictive tool. Alternatively, spatial analysis of covariance allows for parameter estimation yet disregards the correlation structure of the covariate. A method is proposed which both accounts for the correlation in and between the response and covariate and allows for the estimation of model parameters; also, this method allows for analysis of covariance when the response and covariate are not colocated.

Amultivariate analysis carried out was to form groups or clusters, whose purpose was to group the plots and formconglomerates (clusters) with a high degree of internal homogeneity and external heterogeneity. For the processing of thedata, the statistical software Info Stat used. Was Among the most important results, it was found that the majority ofproducers own their plots, sow between 0.5 to 5 hectares, the yield of grain rice is between 5 000 to 8 000 kg/ha and all doconventional agriculture. The conglomerate analysis classifies the plots into 6 groups, the producers of conglomerate 1 sharethe greatest number of variables (21), having in common the variables: ownership of the plot, use of chemical fertilizers, burning of weeds and harvest residues, use of agrochemicals. The producers of conglomerate 5 have 12 variables incommon, among them: they do not incorporate organic matter, they do not rotate crops, they do not use biological control, and they do not use repellents. It recommended is to promote the rotation and association of crops under the diversityprinciple; likewise, to promote the self-sustained fertility of the soil, and to include in the productive process, the integratedmanagement of insect pests and phytopathogens.</text>
