A medida que crecen las ciudades se experimenta un aumento en la temperatura. Las ondas de calor tienden a aumentar el riesgo de una mayor morbilidad en la población urbana (IPCC, 2001). Los valores límite para definir una onda de calor varían geográficamente. Para el caso de la Ciudad de México (que se encuentra a 2 250 msnm en los trópicos) se ha adoptado 30° C como valor límite cuando se presente durante tres días consecutivos o más y una temperatura mínima de 25° C como promedio. Estos eventos ocurren al final de la estación seca durante los meses de marzo a mayo, cuando la humedad relativa alcanza un mínimo (¿20%), lo cual favorece el estrés por calor. En este trabajo se han utilizado datos de temperatura máxima del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN). Los resultados muestran que durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX la frecuencia de los eventos de ondas de calor se incrementó de 6 a 16 en los años noventa, con un marcado crecimiento de la población de la capital de 8.5 a 16.5 millones de habitantes (CONAPO, 2000). Durante este tiempo el contraste promedio urbano/rural se consideraba de 6 a 10° C (Jáuregui, 1986). La aplicación de índices de calor basados en el balance energético (PET, PMV) señalan que el impacto a la población puede ser de ligero a moderado durante estos eventos. Ya que el cambio climático global va a significar un aumento en las temperaturas nocturnas (IPCC, 2001), es probable que aumente la incidencia de estos fenómenos. Las estimaciones de las elasticidades de largo y corto plazos del precio e ingreso fueron: -0.285, -0.041, 1.004 y 0.721, lo que implica que la demanda de gasolinas es sensible a la trayectoria del ingreso e inelástica a los precios. Por tanto, un crecimiento económico continuo, sin una adecuada política de precios, generará un aumento en el consumo de gasolinas. La naturaleza esporádica de la FET asociada a factores meteorológicos estimuló el desarrollo de modelos predictivos con base ambiental. Los eventos infectivos fueron identificados por el mojado de la espiga resultante de la ocurrencia sincrónica de precipitación y alta humedad relativa del aire alrededor de la antesis del trigo (período crítico susceptible para la infección). Valores de incidencia de la FET, predichos retrospectivamente (1932-2013) por el modelo en tres sitios de la región pampeana (Paraná, Pergamino y Mar del Plata), permitieron analizar el efecto del fenómeno El Niño Oscilación del Sur (ENOS) y cambio climático sobre la enfermedad. Las líneas de tendencia de los valores predichos de incidencia de la FET mostraron ligeras pendientes positivas, con valores crecientes hacia el sur de la región. Los valores positivos de anomalía (diferencia entre la incidencia predicha anual de la FET y la mediana de la serie histórica) decrecieron hacia el sur en el primer subperíodo analizado (1932-1972) y se incrementaron en el segundo subperíodo (1973-2013). Gradualmente, hacia el sur de la región pampeana, valores de anomalía positivos y negativos se incrementan en años El Niño y La Niña respectivamente. Para explicar este comportamiento, se analizó el efecto de las dos fases extremas del fenómeno ENOS sobre la distribución de probabilidad de períodos secos (relación inversa con la FET). A partir de valores diarios de precipitación de la serie 1932- 2013 (Paraná, Pergamino y Mar del Plata), agrupados por la ocurrencia de episodios El Niño o La Niña, las probabilidades condicionales de precipitación se ajustaron a modelos cadenas de Markov de primer orden y tendencia estacional. A partir de estos modelos se derivaron distribuciones de probabilidad de ocurrencia de períodos secos de al menos 7 días en lapsos de 15 días, para ambas fases. En los tres sitios, las diferencias entre las curvas de probabilidad de cada fase ocurrieron claramente en el bimestre noviembre-diciembre, donde la antesis del trigo tiene lugar en el sur de la región pampeana. Se observó una alta heterogeneidad entre bosques, acorde a su composición específica y estructura diamétrica. La tasa de captura de C osciló entre 0,53 y 0,95 t C/ha/año, equivalente a una captura de entre 1,94 y 3,49 t CO2/ha/año. Fukayama Description An account of the resource The objective of this study was to evaluate the quality and the production of biogas and biofertilizer obtained from biodigester supplied with pig feces in the initial, growing and finishing stages, fed with diets formulated based on corn or sorghum. Twenty bench biodigesters were used with hydraulic retention time of 30 days and daily loads that contained 4 to 6% of total solids (TS) and 3.6 to 5.2% of volatile solids (VS). In the effluent of the biodigesters, mean levels of TS were observed ranging between 1.6 and 2.0% and of VS between 1.2 and 1.6%. The mean reductions of TS were 57.7 to 64.7% and of VS from 61.7 to 69.0%, and there was only difference in the finishing phase, in which the major averages reductions were produced by the biodigesters supplied with feces from animals fed with diets based on corn. In biodigesters supplied with feces from animals in the initial and growing stages fed with diets based on corn, were observed higher average productions of biogas and the greatest average potentials of biogas production. The average potentials obtained were 0.033; 0.181; 0.685; 0.788 and 1.132 m³ per kg of affluent, manure, TS added, VS added and VS reduced, respectively. No differences were found on the average content of methane in the biogas between diets and stages. The average concentrations of nutrients N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in the biodigester affluent and effluent, ranged between diets and stages.Objetivou-se avaliar a produção e a qualidade do biogás e do biofertilizante obtidos em biodigestores abastecidos com dejetos de suínos, nas fases inicial, crescimento e terminação, alimentados com dietas formuladas à base de milho ou sorgo. Foram utilizados 20 biodigestores de bancada, com tempo de retenção hidráulica de 30 dias, e cargas diárias que continham 4,0 a 6,0% de sólidos totais (ST) e 3,6 a 5,2% de sólidos voláteis (SV). Nos efluentes dos biodigestores, foram verificados teores médios de ST variando de 1,6 a 2,0% e de SV entre 1,2 e 1,6%. As reduções médias de ST foram de 57,7 a 64,7% e de SV de 61,7 a 69,0%, sendo que houve diferença somente na fase de terminação, na qual as maiores reduções médias foram para biodigestores abastecidos com dejetos de animais alimentados com dietas à base de milho. Nos biodigestores abastecidos com dejetos de animais em fase inicial e de crescimento, alimentados com dietas formuladas à base de milho, foram verificadas maiores produções médias de biogás e os maiores potenciais médios de produção de biogás.
