El objetivo del presente estudio se centró en valorar el codiseño del curso, la Tecnología Informática Aplicada a los Centros Escolares (TIACE) en la formación inicial docente de la licenciatura en educación preescolar, ante la contingencia provocada por la COVID-19. La investigación de corte mixto y alcance descriptivo, se realizó en una escuela normal del estado de Veracruz, México. Se utilizó el cuestionario escala Likert aplicado a una muestra de 27 docentes en formación, así como la aplicación de 12 entrevistas semiestructuradas para el estudio fenomenológico hermenéutico. Se obtuvieron resultados favorables del codiseño del curso en cuanto a las estrategias de organización y dinámica, aspectos pedagógicos, de contenido y tecnológicos. Con respecto a los factores que intervinieron para dar continuidad con las clases ante la pandemia, surgieron aspectos de estados de ánimo y contingencias familiares como factores a tomarse en cuenta en la modalidad de aprendizaje en línea.

The influences of environmental factors on COVID-19 may not be immediate and could be lagged for days to weeks. This study investigated the choice of lag days for calculating cumulative lag effects of ozone, PM2.5, and five meteorological factors (wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, and cloud percentages) on COVID-19 new cases at the epicenter of Queens County, New York, before the governor’s executive order on wearing of masks in public places (1 March to 11 April 2020). Daily data for selected air pollutants and meteorological factors were collected from the US EPA Air Quality System, weather observation station of the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information at John F. Kennedy Airport, and World Weather Online. Negative binomial regression models were applied, including the autocorrelations and trend of the time series, as well as the effective reproductive number as confounders. The effects of ozone, PM2.5, and five meteorological factors were significant on COVID-19 new cases with lag9-lag13 days. Incidence rate ratios (IRRs) were consistent for any lag day choice between lag0-lag14 days and started fluctuating after lag15 days. Considering moving averages >14 days yielded less reliable variables for summarizing the cumulative lag effects of environmental factors on COVID-19 new cases and considering lag days from 9 to 13 would yield significant findings. Future studies should consider this approach of lag day checks concerning the modeling of COVID-19 progression in relation to meteorological factors and ambient air pollutants.

Purpose This study explored the state of the literature on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in two subject areas: (1) economics, econometrics, and finance, and (2) business, management, and accounting. The study focused on the most productive and influential journals, countries, institutions, documents, and clusters of keywords. Methods Data were retrieved from Scopus on November 21, 2020. The search term was the keyword “COVID-19” in the title, abstract, and author’s keywords, and the articles were limited to two subject areas. The data were analyzed using VOSviewer and Excel. Results In the analysis of 1,719 articles on COVID-19, the most productive journal that published these articles was Gender, Work, and Organization (n=49). The most productive country and institutions were the United States (n=526) and Universiteit van Pretoria (n=16) and the University of Oxford (n=16), respectively. Based on citations, the most influential authors, countries, and journals were Dmitry Ivanov (n=233), the United States (n=1,027), and Finance Research Letters (n=326), respectively. The most cited article was authored by Stefan Gossling (n=157) on the impact of COVID-19 on society, the economy, and tourism. The articles were from 111 countries, of which 85.6% had collaborations. The keywords of research on COVID-19 formed 14 clusters (e.g., small and medium enterprises, aviation, tourism, banking and finance, supply chain, economic growth, and the digital economy). Conclusion The number of COVID-19 articles related to economics and business is fairly large and is continuing to grow significantly. The keyword analysis showed that COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on all economic sectors.

Considerando o colapso do sistema prisional brasileiro em um contexto de crise do capitalismo aprofundada pela pandemia do novo-coronavírus, este artigo buscou investigar a relação entre o sistema econômico vigente, o encarceramento em massa e a crise carcerária evidenciada pela pandemia. Com base na perspectiva da Criminologia Crítica,realizou-se pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico, documental e descritivo, tendo em vista problematizar os limites do direito penal, da democracia burguesa e da própria política. Frente à análise realizada, constata-se que a pandemia reforça a crise já existente no sistema prisional brasileiro, indicando a urgente necessidade do estabelecimento de um direito penal das e para as classes subalternas, visto que o atual quadro serve como mecanismo que acentua a exclusão, a opressão e o extermínio de uma determinada classe e raça no seio da sociedade capitalista.

La actual crisis de la COVID-19 está suponiendo un serio obstáculo para el cumplimiento de la Agenda 2030 con la previsión de aumento de la tasa de pobreza mundial y revirtiendo muchos de los logros conseguidos en estos últimos años. Igualmente, la pandemia está conllevando el retroceso en el acceso al derecho a una educación de calidad y un aumento de la desigualdad de oportunidades generada por la brecha digital, afectando a millones de estudiantes que han dejado de ir a la escuela. Sin embargo, a pesar de todas las amenazas que despierta el actual contexto se vislumbran las oportunidades que están surgiendo en esta crisis. El cumplimiento de los ODS, sin duda, es una estrategia fundamental para afrontarla y en este sentido la educación para la ciudadanía global es una herramienta clave para acompañar procesos en los que se fomente la construcción de una ciudadanía activa, crítica y generadora de cambios sociales.

Objetivo: Identificar a prevalência do sentimento de angústia autorreferido e seus fatores relacionados, bem como a adesão ao isolamento social de universitários da área da saúde durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, desenvolvido em uma universidade privada e filantrópica, localizada no município de Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, com coleta de dados em junho 2020. Participaram 541 universitários (> 18 anos) da área da saúde, que responderam um formulário eletrônico para coletar as variáveis demográficas relacionadas à pandemia da COVID-19, sentimentos de angústia e preocupação. Realizaram-se análises bivariada e multivariada para avaliar as relações com o desfecho sentimento de angústia. Resultados: Do total dos universitários, 89,5% (n=489) disseram estar angustiados, 90,4% (n=489) eram favoráveis ao isolamento social e 93,5% (n=503) aderiram ao isolamento social como combate à COVID 19. Na análise multivariada, o sentimento de angústia relatado pelos universitários apresentou relação com a preocupação com o mundo (OR=4,099; p=0,000). Conclusão: O sentimento de angústia apresentado pelos universitários esteve relacionado ao sentimento de preocupação com o mundo e a serem predominantemente favoráveis ao isolamento social, e, por isso, aderiram a essa medida de enfrentamento do novo coronavírus.
