Se realizaron análisis multivariados para comparar las características tróficas entre épocas climáticas (bajas y altas lluvias), sexos y estados de madurez (juveniles y adultos). Se analizó también el factor de condición (K), porcentajes numéricos (%N), volumétricos (%V) y frecuencia de ocurrencia (%Fo) para cada presa. La proporción de sexos se evaluó usando pruebas de Chi-Cuadrado y se estimaron los indices gonadosomático (IGS) y de fecundidad absoluta (Fa). Resultados. Se analizó un total de 162 ejemplares (LS: 40-75 mm). Se encontró que B. caucanus es un pez insectívoro (86.47% IRI), con un consumo preponderante de ephemeropteros (Baetidae; 27.71%), hymenopteros (Formicidae; 23.57%), dipteros (Simuliidae 17.36%; Chironomidae 9.79%) y trichopteros (Hydropsychidae; 8.04). Los analisis multivariados revelaron diferencias tróficas entre épocas climáticas, con menor riqueza durante la época de sequía. Entre sexos, las hembras registran una mayor amplitud del nicho trófico. Los adultos, presentan una amplitud de nicho mayor a juveniles. La especie tiene dos eventos reproductivos en los periodos de altas lluvias relacionados con el incremento en la riqueza trófica durante las mismas épocas (i.e. marzo-abril, septiembre-noviembre). Conclusiones. B. caucanus presenta una segregación trófica incipiente entre estadios ontogénicos y sexos. La distinción trófica es sin embargo notable entre periodos climáticos. Al inicio de la década de 1980 se construyó una represa en el río de desagüe y el caudal de salida fue desviado hacia el Embalse Arenal. Se realizó un primer estudio entre 1990 y 1991, y luego en el año 2001 antes de que se construyera una nueva modificación del lago mediante el levantamiento del nivel de la presa en un metro con el fin de utilizar la descarga para la producción de energía hidroeléctrica. Del 2002 al 2010 se realizó un monitoreo limnológico dos veces al año. Aquí se presenta un análisis de las principales características y de los cambios a través del tiempo. El lago es polimíctico discontinuo y desarrolla una termoclina intermitente a 6m de profundidad, la cual puede perdurar por varios días o semanas a juzgar por el desarrollo de una capa anóxica cercana al fondo. Desde su modificación la temperatura superficial del lago ha alcanzado valores mayores a los reportados con anterioridad. El hipolimnion muestra periodos de hipoxia a anoxia que se han vuelto más frecuentes. A pesar de la turbidez del lago, la concentración de nutrientes y de clorofila a son bajos. La tendencia en tiempos recientes es a una reducción de la clorofila a y un aumento en la trasparencia del agua. Estos cambios son similares a los observados en lagos donde se ha logrado atribuirlos al cambio climático global. También se pueden deber a la modificación del flujo del efluente por la operación intermitente de la planta hidroeléctrica, que favorece la acumulación de calor en la columna de agua. Esto debido a que otros factores, como el cambio en el uso del suelo en los alrededores del lago ocurrieron en la década de 1980, por lo que no se les puede atribuir una influencia en los cambios observados en los últimos 10 años. Para tanto, foram inicialmente obtidos 59 indicadores de uso de diversas tecnologias, para cada mesorregião geográfica. Mediante análise fatorial, esses indicadores foram sintetizados em quatro fatores, cujos valores serviram de base para o cálculo de um índice de utilização de tecnologia. El contraste entre dos municipios en el ámbito del Prepirineo oscense (Alquézar y Valle de Lierp) ilustra estas variaciones, contextualizadas por el análisis de la composición del paisaje del Prepirineo oscense. Se realiza, por lo tanto, un estudio retrospectivo y multiescala centrado en la unidad operacional que constituye el municipio, donde se evalúa la composición, configuración y estructura del paisaje a través del análisis de sus componentes, de modelos de transición y de la aplicación de índices de paisaje. El desarrollo metodológico de este trabajo se ha simplificado gracias al empleo de SIG (ARC GIS.9) y FRAGSTAT, un programa de índices de ecología del paisaje.
