The data used include information on, approximately, 4.500 farmers from this State. The results are presented for the whole sample, excluding the 'assentados', and by groups (B, C e D). The estimates are corrected for the existence of participation bias through the use propensity score method. The effectiveness of the program is also considered in the analysis. When the differences of characteristics and probabilities of participation are factored in, the main findings point that, although effective, the program has not shown significant impacts on the considered state. Data of 38,353 Brazilian adults from a nationwide behavior research were used. For movement behaviors, participants reported the frequency and duration of physical activity and daily time on TV viewing and computer/tablet use before and during the pandemic period. Participants also reported the frequency of loneliness, sadness (feeling sad, crestfallen, or depressed), and anxiety feelings (feeling worried, anxious, or nervous) during the pandemic period. Sex, age group, highest academic achievement, working status during quarantine, country region, and time adhering to the quarantine were used as correlates. We used descriptive statistics and logistic regression models for the data analysis. The prevalence of all movement behavior clusters increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. The cluster of all three unhealthy movement behaviors increased from 4.6% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 3.9-5.4) to 26.2% (95% CI: 24.8-27.7). Younger adults, people with higher academic achievement, not working or working at home, and those with higher time in quarantine presented higher clustering. People that increased one and two or three unhealthy movement behaviors were, respectively, more likely to present loneliness (odds ratio [OR] = 1.41 [95% CI: 1.21-1.65] and OR = 1.71 [95% CI: 1.42-2.07]), sadness (OR = 1.25 [95% CI: 1.06-1.48] and OR = 1.73 [95% CI: 1.42-2.10]), and anxiety (OR = 1.34 [95% CI: 1.13-1.57] and OR = 1.78 [95% CI: 1.46-2.17]) during the COVID-19 quarantine. Since then, physical distancing measures such as confinement have been adopted by different governments to control human to human transmission. This study aimed to determine how confinement affects children's routines, more specifically their physical activity (PA) and sedentary time. An online survey was launched to assess how Portuguese children under 13 years of age adjusted their daily routines to confinement. Parents reported the time each child was engaged in different activities throughout the day, which was used to calculate overall sedentary time and overall physical activity time. Based on the data of 2159 children, our study showed that during confinement: (i) there was a decrease in children's physical activity time and an increase in screen time and family activities; (ii) boys engaged in more playful screen Time than girls (p < 0.05), and girls played more without PA than boys (p < 0.05); (iii) along the age groups, there was a trend for an increase of the overall sedentary time and an associated decrease of the overall physical activity time. In summary, PA of confined children showed low levels and a clear decreasing trend along childhood. Conjoint family and societal strategies to target specific age groups should be organized in the future. The energy rate of each compound involved in the production process and waste treatment using a biodigestor (input and output) was quantified. The matrixes of energy consumption were determined in the form of animal feeding, electrical energy, human labour, equipment, structures, alive swine production, biofertilizer production and biogas. The results indicated that the activity corresponded to an industrial agroecosystem, highly specialized, importing a great part of the energy consumed in the production process and applied to the exportation, with energy efficiency of 0.38 (Joutput/Jinput). A theoretical and critical discussion is held based on political ecology and an overview of access to water and the sewage network is presented, according to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. Qualitative analysis of the data shows that access is inefficient for the majority of the population in the periphery and indicates the need for further observation on the quality of water and sewage services. Este trabalho teve por objetivo implementar e avaliar, em cinco propriedades rurais de Alegre (ES), uma metodologia prática e de fácil aplicação por agricultores na avaliação participativa de características indicadoras de qualidade do Coffea canephora e do solo. Foram avaliadas cinco áreas com sistemas de manejo convencional e conservacionista agroecológico de cultivo. A partir de observações feitas a campo notas foram atribuídas aos indicadores de qualidade do café e solo. As notas variam de 1 a 10 em 3 intervalos ( 0-5; 5-8 e 8-10). Gráficos em forma de radar foram elaborados, representando o estado de cada indicador, e comparados com as diferentes percepções dos produtores e técnicos da área agrícola. O diagrama da qualidade do café indicou no sistema convencional a alta dependência de insumos externos (nota 2) e grande efeito da radiação solar pela falta de cobertura vegetal na seca de ponteiros (nota 3). Já para a qualidade do solo no sistema conservacionista, notou-se controle da erosão (nota 9), maior profundidade da camada escura (nota 9) e maior diversidade de plantas (nota 9,5). Sistemas conservacionistas agroecológicos de cultivo promovem maior sustentabilidade da agricultura familiar e otimizam a produção agrícola. These patients had an increased risk of NDM-CRE acquisition versus the usual patients (75.9 vs. 25.3 cases/10,000 patient days). The co-infection significantly increased the duration of hospital stay (32.9 vs. 15.8 days).
