Las comunidades de Pinus cembroides y P. johannis coexisten en diversas regiones de México, pero P. cembroides tiende a distribuirse en laderas de exposiciones sur y suroeste en sitios deteriorados, a diferencia de P. johannis localizados en áreas mésicas en laderas con exposición norte y noreste. El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar la influencia de algunos factores físicos en la semejanza florística de los piñonares de P. cembroides y P. johannis. El área de estudio se ubica en la Sierra San Miguelito, San Luis Potosí, México. Se seleccionaron 40 unidades de muestreo, distribuidas en una superficie de 50km²; en cada una se trazaron dos líneas de 20m perpendiculares entre sí, donde se registró la cobertura de los individuos interceptados. Se elaboraron dos tipos de matrices de datos: la primera con los valores de cobertura de 91 especies y la segunda, con siete variables topográficas, climáticas y de incidencia solar. Se aplicaron análisis de agrupamiento y de ordenación para explorar la influencia de variables ambientales en la diferenciación florística de los piñonares. El agrupamiento diferenció seis grupos; los tres primeros caracterizados por bosques de P. cembroides. La ordenación mostró que la varianza representada por los tres primeros ejes fue de 65.9%. El eje uno se correlacionó positivamente con la altitud y negativamente con la temperatura media anual y la orientación; los ejes dos y tres mostraron bajos valores de correlación con las variables probadas. Se observó que los piñonares de P. cembroides y flora acompañante, tienden a localizarse en sitios de menor altitud, con mayor temperatura media anual y en laderas con orientación al sur y suroeste. En contraste, los sitios de P. johannis, los de P. johannis-P. cembroides y de éstos con Quercus potosina, por lo regular están ubicados en condiciones de mayor altitud, temperatura media anual baja y con orientación al norte-noreste. La localización de estos bosques monoespecíficos y mixtos junto con las especies asociadas, indicadoras de variables ambientales, genera el pre-diagnóstico de la situación de las comunidades y su condición, para que en el futuro se planifiquen acciones acordes con el balance natural ecosistémico. It relies on the use of 4 different primers recognizing 6 regions of the template sequence and on the use of a DNA polymerase with strand displacement activity (Notomi et al., 2000). The addition of two loop primers allows the reaction time to be of one hour only (Nagamine et al., 2002). The aim of this study was to develop a reverse transcription LAMP assay for an easy and inexpensive detection of feline Coronavirus (FCoV). Six primers binding the conserved 3’UTR region of the FCoV were designed with the Primer Explorer software. Thirty-two samples of RNA (11 feces, 8 effusions, 9 blood samples and 4 tissues) on which a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for the 3’UTR region was performed were used. The reaction was carried out in 25μL reaction volume and the mixture was incubated in a thermocycler at 63°C for 1 hour followed by 10 minutes at 80°C. LAMP products were visualized under UV after electrophoresis migration on a 1.5% agarose gel stained with ethidium bromide, where they produce a ladder-like pattern if positive. Results where compared with those obtained on standard PCR. Sensitivity and specificity were respectively 60% and 100% on feces, 40% and 100% on effusions, 25% and 100% on blood, and 100% and 100% on tissues. The overall sensitivity and specificity of this method were of 57.1% and 100%, thus limiting a clinical application of this method, except for tissues. Additionally, the impact of the “Coronavirus Disease 2019” (COVID-19) pandemic on consumers’ green food purchases was explored. Research data were derived from semi-structured in-depth interviews with 28 consumers and analyzed using grounded theory. The findings identified factors that influenced intentions and the IBG in the process of consumers’ green food purchases. Specifically, these findings reported that health consciousness, perceived attributes, environmental consciousness, social influence, family structure, and enjoyable shopping experiences were identified as major drivers for generating consumers’ green food purchase intentions. High prices of green food, unavailability issues, mistrust issues, and limited knowledge were factors triggering the gap between green food purchase intentions and behaviours. In addition, the results revealed that the COVID-19 crisis increased consumers’ green food purchase intentions, whereas the IBG widens as a result of issues of unavailability, price, and panic. These findings will help stakeholders build future policy and suitable strategies to better promote green food consumption in the Chinese context. Critical Discourse Analysis performs in portraying this issue by figuring out the representation of COVID-19 in the headlines. The headlines on The Jakarta Post were analyzed by employing Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistic. The data were taken by observing twenty newspaper headlines from The Jakarta Post newspaper on the national column on the first-week edition using purposive sampling. The writer uses purposive sampling because the writer wants to determine the sampling by specifying special characteristics. The newspaper uses a topical theme in all of the headlines, yet the participants of the Theme are different. The participants involved in the headlines were Actor, Verbiage, Sayer, Senser, and Goal as their Themes. In representing the COVID-19, The Jakarta Post newspaper headlines used the Theme to figure out the participant of the headlines. The participant Actor shows the action or the content of the headlines. Participant Verbiage shows the content of the headline. Participant Sayer directly says the content of the headline. Participant Senser shows that people are suffered due to this virus. Participant Goal shows that the action gives a positive impact on something related to the topic. The Jakarta Post newspaper uses these themes in order to examine the representations of COVID-19 in Indonesia that is a dangerous virus. A tlápia já se consolidou como o principal produto pesqueiro/aquícola no Brasil, sendo muitas vezes cultivada em tanques-rede (TR) e viveiros escavados. Nesse sentdo, um projeto pioneiro do cultvo de tilápias em TR foi iniciado em 2011 com a implantação de 48 unidades de TR no lago da usina hidroelétrica de Itá, município de Concórdia, SC. Esses TR possuem um volume de 6m3 e 18m3 cada unidade e hoje o projeto possui um total de 168 TR com uma produção total de tlápia (média de 600g) estimada em 170t por safra para o ano de 2017. Abstract – The west region of Santa Catarina is well recognized for its potential agriculture, livestock and aquaculture production mainly practiced by family-farming small producers. In this region, fish farming has grown increasingly mainly due to its favorable conditions for tilapiculture often grown in ponds and recently in a cage. In this sense, a pioneer project of tilapia cultivation in cages (volume 6m3 and 18m3 each tank) has been settled in the lake of Itá hydroelectric located surrounding Concórdia, SC.
