The Council includes repre­­sentatives from 21 organizations working across the state, as well as three representatives from regional local food councils. The Council’s response to the pandemic addressed three key areas of action: (1) Coordinate responses across multiple sectors; (2) Enhance collaboration across the food-supply chain; and (3) Facilitate data collection and public messaging. This paper describes the positive impacts the Council has had across North Carolina on consumers and producers of local food as a result of this collaborative network and long-established relationships across the state. Now, more than ever, the relationships and collaborative efforts of statewide organizations and partners are needed. The Council’s crisis response has been strong because of the long-standing relationships of its members and its ability to share resources quickly, allowing it to work toward coordinated responses. The work of the North Carolina Local Food Council can serve as a model for other states that have state-level local food coun­cils or want to develop them. Although rarely, it can recur: most recurrences occur within 2 years of the initial episode. No data are available on incidence of recurrent KD in Europe and multiple recurrences are rarely seen. We reviewed the medical literature on Kawasaki disease recurrence and reported a new case of Kawasaki disease recurrence in a child with SARS-CoV-2 infection. We believe that in our case SARS Cov2 acted as a trigger capable to determine, in a genetically susceptible individual, a second recurrence of the disease. In the Covid-19 era we affirm the importance for Kawasaki disease to be tested for SARS Cov2 infection. En el presente trabajo se determinó el porcentaje de eclosión  in vitro de huevos de este parásito en agua de mar a valores de pH modificados: 7.5, 8.0 y 8.5. Se obtuvo formas adultas de D. pacificum de un perro domestico infectado experimentalmente con larvas plerocercoides pertenecientes a la familia Diphyllobothriidae; del útero de  las formas adultas se extrajeron los huevos y fueron suspendidos en solución salina al 0.9% durante ocho días para su embrionación. De la suspensión de huevos se tomó 0.4 mL y se colocaron en placas de Petri con 10 mL de agua de mar filtrada y con los valores de pH modificados; tres placas para cada valor. El porcentaje de eclosión se determinó por la observación de huevos sin coracidio o sin opérculo. Los porcentajes encontrados en los valores de pH 7.5, 8.0, 8.5 y el control 7.2 (agua de mar natural) fueron, 21.0, 29.1,  15.7 y 20.2, respectivamente. Encontrándose en el valor de pH 8.0 el mayor porcentaje de eclosión. El instrumento utilizado fue la Escala Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Seguridad Alimentaria, se agregaron algunos indicadores condicionantes. Entre los principales hallazgos se destaca que la Inseguridad Alimentaria afecta a la tercera parte de los hogares estudiados. La inseguridad Alimentaria Severa alcanzo un 32%. Los resultados de la encuesta evidencia preocupación en más de la mitad de los hogares de que el alimento se acabara, y por falta de dinero u otros recursos veían la disponibilidad y el acceso limitado. Más de la mitad de los hogares no tienen una alimentación nutritiva, hay poca variedad de alimentos. En relación a la cantidad de alimentos, el 50% de los hogares en algún momento se quedaron sin alimento, muchos comieron menos de lo acostumbrado y hasta dejaron de desayunar, almorzar o cenar, por falta de dinero u otro recurso. El hambre afecto a todos los hogares, donde algunos de los integrantes, sintieron hambre pero no había que comer, por lo tanto no comieron y a veces solo comieron una vez al día, o pasaron todo el día sin comer. Nesse sentido, o Núcleo de Apoio a Agricultura Familiar do CEDIAP-GEO da UNESP Campus Ourinhos, tem realizado desde 2009, com auxilio da PROEX, levantamentos visando à elaboração de mapas que tem sido fornecidos aos agricultores familiares de Ourinhos e região. Objetivos: elaborar mapas de aplicação de insumos e manejo de solo através da técnica da agricultura de precisão para auxiliar pequenos agricultores, uma vez que fornece ferramentas para informá-los e instruí-los no manuseio de suas propriedades de forma econômica, preservando os recursos naturais e garantindo a permanência desses agricultores no campo. O projeto é voltado ao atendimento de agricultores que se enquadram na categoria de agricultura familiar. Métodos: são feitas coletas de solos e avaliações de compactação nas propriedades, sendo estas informações analisadas no laboratório de Pedologia, Geologia e Geomorfologia e no CEDIAP-GEO, da UNESP, Campus de Ourinhos, para então produzir mapas de Aplicação localizada de corretivos e técnicas de preparo do solo. O aplicativo utilizado para interpolação dos dados e elaboração dos mapas é o Idrisi Taiga. Resultados: os mapas elaborados foram entregues com orientação sobre a utilização, a partir de um panorama geral da situação do solo na propriedade. Esses materiais são expostos de maneira que sejam práticos e compreensíveis aos agricultores, promovendo o interesse na importância do manejo adequado do solo e dos recursos ambientais envolvidos. Até o presente momento, o projeto atendeu 12 propriedades, nas quais os mapas indicavam os teores de pH e de compactação do solo. Atualmente, estão sendo analisadas e cadastradas novas propriedades, das quais também estão sendo elaborados os mapas de aplicação de corretivos e técnicas de preparo de solo. There is however a need for greater coordination, with limited resources and the shifting global nature of the pandemic resulting in a proliferation of research projects underpowered and unable to achieve their aims. Methods: The UK Collaborative on Development Research (UKCDR) and Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R), two funder coordination groups have collaborated to develop a live database of funded research projects across the world relating to COVID-19. Drawing data continually from their members and further global funding bodies, as of 15th July 2020 the database contains 1,858 projects, funded by 25 funders, taking place across 102 countries. To our knowledge it is one of the most comprehensive databases, covering a wide breadth of research disciplines. The database is aligned to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Global Research Roadmap: 2019 Novel Coronavirus. It is being used by the WHO, governments and multi-lateral policy makers, research funders and researchers. This living systematic review aims to supplement the database by providing an open accessible and frequently updated resource summarising the characteristics of the COVID-19 funded research portfolio. Both descriptive and thematic analysis will be presented and updated frequently to aid interpretation of the global COVID-19 funded research portfolio. Results: In this baseline analysis we provide the first detailed descriptive analysis of the database and focus our thematic analysis on research gaps, study populations and research locations (with a focus on resource-limited countries). Conclusions: This living systematic review will help both funders and researchers to prioritise resources to underfunded areas where there is greatest research need and facilitate further strategic collaboration. As we now tackle a pandemic in very different contexts and with increased knowledge, we sought to build on the work of the WHO to gain a more current and global perspective on these initial priorities.Methods We undertook a mixed methods study seeking the views of the global research community to (1) assess which of the early WHO roadmap priorities are still most pressing; (2) understand whether they are still valid in different settings, regions or countries; and (3) identify any new emerging priorities.Results Thematic analysis of the significant body of combined data shows the WHO roadmap is globally relevant; however, new important priorities have emerged, in particular, pertinent to low and lower middle-income countries (less resourced countries), where health systems are under significant competing pressures. We also found a shift from prioritising vaccine and therapeutic development towards a focus on assessing the effectiveness, risks, benefits and trust in the variety of public health interventions and measures. Our findings also provide insight into temporal nature of these research priorities, highlighting the urgency of research that can only be undertaken within the period of virus transmission, as well as other important research questions but which can be answered outside the transmission period. Both types of studies are key to help combat this pandemic but also importantly to ensure we are better prepared for the future.Conclusion We hope these findings will help guide decision-making across the broad research system including the multilateral partners, research funders, public health practitioners, clinicians and civil society.
