Production of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) under different doses of worm compostAbstract: Different dosages of fertilization on the production of lettuce, cultivate Baba of summer. The test was conducted on Yellow Latosol Distrophic loam savanna, coastal phase in Embrapa Meio-Norte, UEP-Parnaíba, from September to October 2013. The experimental design was randomized block, with five treatments and four replicates. The treatments were the dosages of fertilization applied in fertilization of pits: 0 g/cova; 62.5 g/cova; 125 g/cova; 187.5 and 250 g/cova. The characteristics evaluated were: base diameter (DB); Number of leaves (NF); Fresh pasta from the shoot (MFPA); Fresh root weight (MFR); Aerial dry mass (MSPA) and root dry mass (MSR). For all traits evaluated the worm compost worm showed acceptable results, there are no significant differences for the vast majority of agronomic characteristics studied. The largest average weights were obtained with the dosage of 187.5 g/cova (tha 40). The fresh and dry lettuce biomass obtained in this determination were superior in approximately 50 and 49, respectively, in relation to the control. The same is observed for the fresh and dry weight of roots (25 and 24, respectively), although do not differ statistically among the other treatments. Despite the problems related to the pendoamento, worm compost utilization, allowed the obtaining of lettuce with a good standard, demonstrating that the fertilization of planting with this organic input can be considered a promising practice in the production of vegetables in organic systems in the region. However, it is important to fit the time of cultivation, or so, working with cultivars adapted to the soil and climate conditions of the region.</text>

The statistical test was realized in randomized blocks, with thee repetitions. Treatments were composed of five nutrient solution (Biofertilizer - T1; Biofertilizer + 25% of the mineral nutrient solution - T2; Biofertilizer + 50% of the mineral nutrient solution - T3; Biofertilizer + 75% of the mineral nutrient solution - T4 and mineral nutrient solution - T5). The fresh and matter biomes, leaf area, diameter of caulis and number of leaf was analyzed. The T5 treatment showed better response in relation to growth parameters and production of hydroponic lettuce, demonstrating that in a hydroponic requires high levels of nutrients readily available to meet the rapid and high nutrient demand.</text>

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This descriptive study is one of the outcomes of a research and extension project that involved a partnership between teachers and students at a higher education institution and a group of family farmers, owners of a small agribusiness in the state of Goiás. The objective was to implement best practices for production of appropriately healthy food products marketed to the National School Meals Program. The diagnosis of the labor process developed by the farmers was made in loco and a training program in Best Agricultural Practices and Best Manufacturing Practices was proposed. The training was conducted during 13 on-site meetings, totaling 100 h with different methodological approaches. Research on shelf life was also conducted and nutritional labels were created for the manufactured products. The microbiological analyses performed met the microbiological standards of the National Health Surveillance Agency. The farmers showed enormous interest in activities based on collective construction. The expiration date of the sixteen analyzed products and their respective labels were defined. The activity fulfilled the objectives proposed, such as technical contribution and training in best practices for a group with the potential to comply with the sanitary requirements necessary when marketing food from family farms for school meals.</text>
