No total foram levantadas 36 espécies diferentes que controlaram 5 espécies de plantas espontâneas: picão-preto (Bidens pilosa), flor-roxa (Echium plantagineum), guanxuma (Sida rhombifolia), grama-seda (Cynodon dactylon) e leiteiro (Euphorbia heterophylla). Outro objetivo foi registrar a ocorrência de controle biológico natural de leiteiro (E. heterophylla) em lavouras de soja pelo mandarová (Erinnyis ello), na região Sudoeste do Paraná. Apesar da inexistência de registros de programas de controle biológico de plantas espontâneas o Brasil conta com grande potencial para o desenvolvimento de trabalhos nesta área importante para a expansão da agricultura orgânica.
