              <text>No existen en la región estudios del paisaje cafetero a escalas detalladas que puedan ofrecer criterios e insumos empíricos para la toma de decisiones de política agraria. Esta investigación potencia el método GTP —Geosistema, Territorio y Paisaje—, yendo más allá del tradicional “geosistema”, pues prueba su capacidad de descender a las escalas de “geofacies” y “geotopos”. Con base en la información biofísica y socioecológica de tres geotopos de la zona montañosa de Ibagué, se realiza un estudio de la ecología del paisaje cafetero mediante la teoría del geosistema del método GTP de G. Bertrand. Como resultado, se expone una visión ecológica integrada de este paisaje a escalas de geofacies y geotopos, y se formulan recomendaciones de política pública para gestionar los agrosistemas cafeteros, dados sus altos impactos ambientales.</text>
