Para tanto, foram realizadas análises bibliográfica e documental, entrevistas semiestruturadas junto aos agricultores, produção iconográfica, bem como a identificação e mapeamento das áreas ocupadas com estas atividades utilizando como suporte as Geotecnologias. Como resultado verifica-se que a agricultura urbana é uma realidade no espaço intra-urbano, ocupando espaços vazios e fundos de quintais, com atividades diversificadas gerando trabalho, emprego, renda, segurança alimentar, além de produtos para o comércio local.
