              <text>A   agricultura   familiar   é   parte importante    do    agronegócio    brasileiro    e    sul-mato-grossense.    Para fortalecer  o  processo  produtivo  e  comercial,  as  famílias  de  agricultores buscam  alternativas  como  a  atuação  conjunta  através  de  associações  e cooperativas.  Estabelece-se  que  a  cooperação  é  uma  variável  que  pode lhes   proporcionar   maior   competitividade   frente   ao   mercado,   sendo facilitada  através  do  capital  social.  O  trabalho  teve  por  objetivo  a  análise do   capital   social   na   cooperativa   COOP-GRANDE,   no   município   de Campo   Grande   (MS),   bem   como   identificar   sua   influência   sobre   as Agricultura familiar e cooperação:caso da COOP-GRANDE...470relações    entre    os    membros    da    cooperativa.    Foram    entrevistados associados  da  cooperativa  a  partir  de  um  questionário  semiestruturado, elaborado  de  forma  a  abranger  variáveis  que  caracterizam  as  interações entre  os  agricultores,  analisar  a  reciprocidade  e  suas  formas  entre  os associados,  e  a  confiança  entre  cooperados  e  destes  para  com  a  liderança da  cooperativa.  Os  resultados  indicaram  a  fragilidade  do  capital  social entre  os  agricultores,  com  a  falta  de  confiança  entre  eles.  Os  associados percebem a importância da cooperativa, mas não a vantagem de trabalhar juntos e de cooperar com os outros sócios da cooperativa.</text>
