A EA esteve presente no dia a dia dos agricultores familiares de forma crítica, transformadora e emancipadora, visando instigar conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes que estimulassem técnicas de conservação, preservação, produção e consumo, além das relações sociais. A metodologia utilizada foi constituída por atividades como visitas às propriedades, roda de conversa, oficinas e saídas de campo. Os resultados apontam para possíveis transformações obtidas com o desenvolvimento das atividades relacionadas à EA.
