Los productores colombianos con el fin de lograr altos rendimientos y minimización de problemas fitosanitarios se han dedicado a realizar aplicaciones e incorporación de fertilizantes de síntesis química, alterando las dosis y utilizando aguas que no son aptas para riego, obteniendo como producto final cultivos con altas trazas de agroquímicos, metales pesados y microorganismos perjudiciales para la salud humana. Metodológicamente, se evaluó en campo el lixiviado agroecológico del cultivo de lechuga tomando en cuenta las variables: peso y tamaño de la cabeza de lechuga. Se encontró que el tratamiento con microorganismos eficientes presenta mayor peso y diámetro de cabeza de lechuga.
