              <text>O artigo apresenta os resultados de uma análise da construção social dos mercados pelos agricultores familiares do Agreste da Paraíba (Brasil). As estratégias e lógicas de comercialização foram observadas junto a 12 famílias inseridas ou em via de inserção em distintos circuitos comerciais: venda direta, compras públicas e circuitos longos. A metodologia associou o estudo de práticas e estratégias coletivas de comercialização e o papel das relações de reciprocidade entre as famílias. Os resultados mostram a importância dos processos organizacionais e dos apoios públicos e privados para a implementação dessas estratégias. As relações de reciprocidade que produzem e consolidam os laços sociais também são essenciais por facilitar o acesso aos mercados e contribuir para a perenidade das atividades de comercialização das famílias.</text>
