___ This article is about peasantry as a way of work: production and organization of a life, antagonist to the agribusiness, being the discussions from theoretical studies and insertion on Via Campesina and Countryside Education. It presents some differences between familiar agriculture and peasant agriculture, although inserted in what is called “small agriculture”, and, in this aspect highlights different conceptions about agrarian reform. With regard the production systems, it shows conflicts between the possibility of agro ecology with the conventional systems, and of transgenic ones, besides making the basement discussion of what implies the agro toxic utilization. At last, is verified that the proper politics conditioned the uses of agro toxics with terrible consequences to people and environment. Since that, the necessity and urge to rethink conceptions and paradigms, besides seeing, recognizing and strengthening experiences that go against the hegemonic agriculture pattern. Agro ecology still appears in a marginal way and the politics towards it, are recent, nevertheless, is believed to be possible stop being part of   “small experiences” and, then leap quali and quantitatively to be a system of production and in it, a possibility of “Well-Live”. In order to it occurs, is necessary ethics and politics joined to other epistemological posture from the people and government/State, institutions.</text>
