By applying the quantitative-quality method of approach, embodied by the observational procedure and the semi-structured interview techniques and direct observation, we seek to demonstrate that the performance of multiple functions of agriculture practiced by the family sector is expressed by the low yield family currency, high unemployment, reduced food security, loss of habits and family customs and community, low use of soil conservation techniques. Some factors that explain this scenario are: the level of association of family members and the public policies that have been reported with less convergence.
