              <text>O lugar das Ciências Sociais e Humanas (CSH) na universidade do futuro deve ser pensado a partir de uma ecologia de saberes. Nesse rumo, acreditamos caber às humanidades a função de tutores para fazer valer dentro da universidade os diversos conhecimentos que ao longo de séculos foram negligenciados pela ciência moderna hegemônica. Pensaremos esse papel das CSH a partir da experiência com a pesquisa A Invenção do Outro na Mídia Semanal, desenvolvida na PUCSP/ Brasil. Neste trabalho participaram, além de especialistas, lideranças sociais, moradores de ocupação e da periferia, artistas do hip-hop e cidadãos comuns. Apesar da oralidade ganhar importância em trabalhos desta natureza, ainda assim para determinados conhecimentos, a oralidade é tão opressora quanto a escrita. Descobrimos conjuntamente que imagens e sons podem também dar conta de um discurso que não é oral, nem escrito. Esta descoberta foi imersa em silêncios reveladores.</text>
