En este trabajo hemos analizado los efectos de un factor ecológico en los años 1960 fecha desde la cual se genera un oleaje migratorio de la población ecuatoriana principalmente de la provincia de Loja y Manabí, afectadas por el cambio climático y la reforma agraria que trae como consecuencia el asentamiento en este lugar que había permanecido aislado del resto del país por sus impenetrables selvas debido a que es un pie de monte de la cordillera de Los Andes.
