              <text>O estudo foi conduzido em duas propriedades de exploração leiteira, ambas criadoras de bovinos da Raça Holstein pura origem (PO), localizadas no Município de Bragança Paulista – SP. A Fazenda 1 possui um plantel de 273 animais e a Fazenda 2 possui 450 animais. O estudo foi realizado em 11 animais (bezerras) de um a três meses de idade. Estes animais foram submetidos à necropsia, e amostras de tecido dos órgãos afetados foram coletados para realização de exames histopatológicos e cultivo microbiológico, além de coleta de sangue para exames sorológicos. O objetivo do estudo foi à identificação das principais causas de morte em bezerras do gado leiteiro da região Bragantina, onde foi possível avaliar e identificar as possíveis causas de óbitos. Dentre essas causas de mortes, as enterites apresentaram clinicamente uma freqüência similar, as doenças respiratórias. Conclui-se que ao ser avaliado as amostras anatomopatológicas identificaram-se uma freqüência maior de lesões macroscópicas e microscópicas pulmonares do que de lesões intestinais. Os agentes etiológicos associados com as doenças apresentadas foram a Salmonella a Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens, Pasteurella, vírus sincicial e coronavirus, que acometem o sistema respiratório e o sistema gastrointestinal, podendo levar o animal a desenvolver o quadro de septicemia e óbito.</text>
