Descripción

The expansion of agriculture in the world hasprovoked, amongst others, the increase in the use of chemicalsubstances for plague control. Scientific advanceshave shown that nanomaterials have innovative propertiesthat can be used in the development of a new generationof substances that have been called nanopesticides.Through processes of nanoemulsion preparation, polymeraddition to create nanocapsules, or the simple use of metallicnanostructures, the efficiency in the application andbiological efficacy of chemical methods for plague control,in comparison to conventional ones, has been improved.By performing an analysis of the possible applications anduse advantages, and the possible risks to health and theenvironment, it is concluded that doubt and existing limitationsin current knowledge on the exposure and effects inorganisms, including the human being, are wide.
