Most are related with systematics of macroalgae, with 159 new records in the period. Phytobenthos ecology has been worked in the nine zones of the marine shelf. Some phytogeographical studies in Cuba and adjacent zones are reflected. Some of the results on the characteristics of marine angiosperms in Cuban waters and the condition of the seagrass ecosystem, composed mainly Thalassia testudinum Banks ex König, are also presented.
