Así, nace esta investigación con el objetivo de definir y analizar el tratamiento del cambio climático en televisoras locales. Para ello, se establece como caso de estudio la ciudad de Loja. Se utiliza una metodología de enfoque mixto, dividida en dos etapas: en la primera, se realiza el análisis de contenido (framing) de los noticieros de las cuatro televisoras de la localidad (1052 ediciones); en la segunda etapa, se desarrolla entrevistas a profundidad a directivos de las televisoras. Como resultado se establece un diagnóstico del tratamiento mediático del cambio climático en los contextos urbanos.
