Los ejemplares fueron recogidos en un fondo fangoso del margen superior del talud continental de Gipuzkoa a 475 m de profundidad. Con este registro, la familia Fauveliopsidae queda representada en la península Ibérica por los dos géneros que la componen: Fauveliosis McIntosh, 1922 y Laubieriopsis Petersen, 2000. En el presente artículo se describen aspectos relativos a su morfologia, ecología, hábitat y distribución geográfica.
