El modelo de Holdridge es un sistema de zonificación ecológica que identifica unidades bioclimáticas (zonas de vida) en base a variables climáticas, latitud, y altitud. Argentina presenta una gran variabilidad ambiental, sin embargo, actualmente carece de una zonificación ecológica objetiva y detallada.
