Teniendo en cuenta que esta interacción convierte a estos sistemas productivos en una unidad familiar, se realiza esta investigación que pretende conocer el estado fitosanitario de los sistemas agroforestales tipo huerto habitacional en los once municipios de la región de Urabá - Colombia - Suramérica, mediante una metodología exploratoria que consulta a los organismos oficiales de prestación del servicio de asistencia técnica agropecuaria en el territorio. Los resultados muestran que la estabilidad de los sistemas es apropiada para el control de plagas y enfermedades que causen daño económico representativo y se recomienda que este tipo de sistemas sea caracterizado para evaluar las potencialidades que tienen de ser mejorados para elevar su capacidad productiva.
