Para desarrollar el análisis se trabajó la Encuesta Nacional del Uso del Tiempo, realizada por el Departamento Nacional de Estadística (DANE) entre 2012 y 2017. Se siguió una metodología cuantitativa: estadística descriptiva y estimación de modelos lineales controlados por las características sociodemográficas de los hogares. Las hipótesis principales es que existen diferencias sociodemográficas en el uso del tiempo en la práctica alimentaria, así como se esperan cambios en el tiempo destinado a la práctica alimentaria en los hogares. Los resultados comprueban desigualdades sociodemográficas y una disminución en el tiempo destinado a la práctica alimentaria. Y se revela, adicional a lo propuesto, inseguridad alimentaria.
