Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 5 tratamientos y 4 repeticiones. Las variables evaluadas fueron: altura de planta, diámetro de planta, número de plantas por metro, biomasa, y materia seca, la aplicación de Quick sol fuente de silicio se realizó en cuatro niveles: T1: 0.75 L de Quick sol/ha, T2: 1.0 L de Quick sol/ha, T3: 1.25 L de Quick sol/ha, T4: 1.5 L de Quick sol/ha y T5: testigo. El T4 con dosis alta de silicio presentó mayor comportamiento en cuanto a las variables de altura de planta (2.71m), número de plantas por metro (28.89 p/m), y biomasa (76.70 ton/ha), el mayor porcentaje de humedad se registró en el tratamiento testigo (83.15%). La tendencia en todas las variables de respuesta se mantuvo en forma descendente a mayor aplicación de Silicio mayor producción de materia seca y mejor comportamiento de las variables dependientes.
