El método empleado integró cuatro estrategias: en lo geográfico, el enfoque ecológico del sistema GTP de G. Bertrand; en lo biogeográfico, la técnica “BioBlitz” de levantamientos de flora y fauna; en lo socioecológico, la sistematización de entrevistas en profundidad a campesinos del abanico; en lo estadístico, el análisis multicriterio de variables biofísicas y multiescalares. El resultado relevante es la formulación de un “indicador multicriterio geoambiental” (IM), que ofrece una síntesis de la anterior información geoambiental, permitiendo contrastar multiescalarmente los distintos grados de afectación ambiental del paisaje de abanico. Esta metodología podría soportar lineamientos de política de ordenación ambiental y territorial a nivel de municipios.
