The aim is analysing the rural world in the context of the development and the crisis of modern society, observing the theoretical approaches, the public policies and the familiar agriculturists practical actions. It starts from a historic/analytical frame about the rural and the familiar agriculture development, observing the limits of productive public policies and the possibilities to the sustainable development at the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba.
