              <text>O objetivo principal deste texto é fazer uma análise geográfica da situação dos povos indígenas e comunidades tradicionais frente à pandemia da COVID-19 no Brasil. A metodologia combina os métodos qualitativo e quantitativo. Refletimos sobre as estratégias de enfrentamento da propagação do vírus, como o fechamento das aldeias por meio de barreiras sanitárias, o uso de aplicativo para monitoramento dos casos, o preparo de ervas pela medicina tradicional e a confecção de máscaras por organizações de mulheres indígenas. Mesmo com a negligência do Estado e diante do risco de genocídio, os indígenas estão se organizando e adotando novas estratégias de luta, articuladas às múltiplas escalas espaciais. As estratégias são orientadas pela cosmologia de cada povo, por decisões coletivas e nas formas de organização territorial autônomas existe um saber que vem da ancestralidade.</text>
